Hello All,
I have a couple of quik questions.
1.) What parts of making the high end extractors can be made with low quality burning resorces. Can I make the factory crate generators and stuff out of grinding materials or is it better to use the high end stuff to get the high BER?
2.)I have a lot of high overall quality steel. Does it matter if I put steel in all the slots or are some things better to put other material like copper and aluminum in?
Thank You for your time

From what I understand, anything that can't be experimented doesn't need good materials. The exception being walls, you can experiment walls but it doesn't actually *do* anything. That's allI can contribute, I am sure someone else can help you out with more detail.

1. Copy/paste from Q-5.5 in the FAQ:
You have to use good materials for the main mining part and during the final combine. The materials for walls, storage modules or generator turbines do not matter. Ore mining units, Light ore mining units, Turbo fluidic drilling pump unit, fluidic drilling pump unit, Heavy harvesting mechanism, harvesting mechanism are the mining units.
2. When it asks for "metal" it doesn't matter what kind you use as long as the stats are good. Steel and iron usually have the best stats for high UT, HR & SR. I have yet to see copper that will met the grade and good aluminum is very rare and not as good as steel or iron can get.

And typically, if you find a uber aluminum, it is something like a link-steel alum that you'll make a lot more credsselling to a weaponsmith, than actually trying to use for architecture...
