Thread: Structure Factory Crate Problem

I made a Small Structure Storage Module schematic for 4 units. After it finished I retrieved the crate. I tryto Get Item From Crate and the count goes to 3 and back to 4. Nothing happens. It is my first Factory, but it is simple enough to use. What is the problem? Is there some secret way to get items out of the crate?

I've had this happen to me several times in the past few days. My guess is that this is related to their database queue problem or the fix that they made to correct it. You don't even need to log out, just wait a few minutes. Sometimes taking items from another factory crate will re-enable the first. I made 60 structural modules the other night, got out 42 of them, then was stuck at 18 for a while. Walked around and talked to people, got out 4 more, checked some harvesters, got out 5 more, etc.

Having the same problem here. Have tried everything to get my items out of the crate, to no avail.

Happens fairly often.. first thing to check, make sure you ACTUALLY have inventory space... the numbers don't necessarily work unless you log off and back on (packs that you AREN'T wearing are bugged, in that the client assumes items in them are weightless, but the server does not.. so if you put items into or remove them from a NON-equipped pack, your inventory weight updates on your client, and you THINK you have a different amount free than you really do.. you need to manually add to find out if this is true).

If you don't have space in your root-level inventory, this happens.

Now, while that is a legitimate reason for it to happen, there are stupid reasons it can happen to. Who knows what they are, maybe server load-related, maybe database related, maybe evil-fairy-gnome-gremlinrelated. But usually, if I spam the factory container, eventually the items will come out... if that doesn't work, waiting a little bit often does... going into a structure helps a lot, especially OUTSIDE of a city. Moving the crate into a pack (especially and equipped one) and doing it from there has worked sometimes.. maybe it is the act of moving it to the pack... dunno.

But, you aren't doing anything wrong, per say... unless your inventory is full. Otherwise, it is a bug, and an intermittent one. So if you just keep trying, you'll be able to get them eventually.

Typically this happens to the last cratemy factory produced. When I move it to my inventory and then try to extract the contents the number on the crate decrements and then goes back to the original number. Spamming the crate never worked for me, in fact it bugged the crates to the point nothing would ever extract. The only thing that I've found that works a 100% of the time is to log out and wait until your character is completely out of the game. Usually my wife's characterwill sit next to my character and watch for my character to vanish. After that happens one of two things will happen. One, the crate will function normally and two, the crate will no longer be displayed in my inventory. If the second scenerio happensI have to log out completely again and then relog in and the crate will reappear in my inventory and function as expected. I've never had any success with a bugged crate working againafter dropping the crate in a house, rotating it or moving it and then picking it back up. Last night I also noticed that the bugged crates will start working ontheir own if you just sit around for about 30 minutes as well.
