I tried to use acrafting station in someone's house out in the middle of the wilderness and I wasn't able to experiment. Is this normal? Do private crafting stations not allow you to experiment on items? Or do you have to be the owner of the private crafting station to do experimentation?

Thanks,

Its a bug with either placing the station too close to the wall, or too close to another station. I tried cramming 3 into 1 room an finally realized i had to take 1 out completely, and move the remaining 3 out from their respective walls. Talk to the owner. If you can't use it he can't either.

I had the same problem, but I couldn't get a schematic. I was in a guys house who had a structure station on one side and clothing on the other. I couldn't get a schematic. I went to my house and built a crafting station and I got the schematic.

As far as number of stations or station being in a wall, I don't know. In my house I have a food/chem and a structure station and it works for me. My structure station is buried in the wall and it works.

I wonder if it has something to do with being on the admin list? My medic friend can use the food/chem station in my house, but he is on the admin list.
