If PA Halls take 9 lots then a functioningArchitect can't really be a PA Leader. I know this issue was raised in beta but nothing seems to be happening on it.

Question - If someone else puts down the Hall, and the architect gets voted to be the PA leader. The 9 lots will reamain against the person that placed the deed?

Also, would the person that placed the deed be able to destroy the Hall. If so, its kinda pointless to have the allegience system as a way to outvote the present leader, cos the owner of the Hall will just reclaim.

I would question whether you would want to be in a PA with a person who would reclaim the deed just because someone else got voted into leadership.

It is my opinion that if a PA hall is essentially owned by a PA, it shouldn't be the responsibility of any single member to have to take on the burden of the 9 lots. That is a big burden for anyone and considering that those 9 slots spread out theoretically between a large number of people, it shouldn't be a huge waste of space to have to input another building that isn't connected to a single particular character. It is very unfair for one particular person to have to use up 9 of their 10 slots to place a PA hall.

Host3h,

I suppose that would be why the previous guild leader was out voted, except he wouldnt be if it was possible for him to reclaim the deed. Therefore, my question, isnt the allegiencec system a bit pointless?

If it was to transfer leadership, then a trransfer leader would be easier.

Also what happens if the person that owns the PA, quits the game, does the PA Hall go poof.?

Does anyone know, if the allegiencee system can be used to transfer PA leadership but the lots used will be still the guy that puts it down?

I do not blame the Devs for making the PA Halls take so much space.

If a PAonly took 1 lot, I would use one as my personal residence much like those who got rich using exploits early in the game have.

Nine lots is a bit much, IMO. Even the pure combat players I know have a couple harvesters down to help usarchitects and engineers who are starving for resources.

What happens if the person who initially put the hall down joins another PA? Or wants to change to an artisan profession? Does the PA have to go to the trouble and expense of clearing everything out of the hall and reclaiming the deed to relay it on someone else's lots?

What if the character that placed the deed is deleted? Currently, all structures placed by characters that are deleted are also deleted. It could happen...a person places the PA hall and over time has a huge falling-out with the PA, to the point where he's kicked out. He's so angry he decides to quit SWG and never play again and as his final act of spite, he deletes the character. That's a lot of credits and resources to just go *poof*.

Seems likethe lot allocation concept for PA halls was poorly thought out. Maybe I missed a memo.

How about 5 slots? And lower the large house from 6 to 4 by the way.

I'm thinking that maybe the PA leader doesn't have to be the one who "owns" the PA hall. I mean, as it stands right now, if more people pledge their alligance to another, that person automatically becomes the new PA leader. Does the structure automatically go in their name? I think not. Though I could be wrong. Anyone know for sure or have tested this?

For a reasonably sized guild you're going to have pure combat players who won't mind putting down the PA hall. And getting the resources to make another one shouldn't be that much of an effort IMO.

As far as the number of slots... these things are HUGE! I think before long you're going to see some pure combat players with guild halls as their personal residence and that just doesn't seem right.

My 2 cents...

Heya Acol, one thing Ive noticed and tested is, after the guild is formed, the PA still holds intact, how long, well I havent tested that far yet, but I did have the PA Hall all deeded up and in a backpack for a total of 24 hours, and still the PA was intact.

I would assume, that a PA Hall was there just for the whole guild to gather at, it might not really be needed except to form a guild.

I also havent tested wether or not a non-guilded player with admin rights is able to create another guild inside the same hall....someone test that out for me and post here?

thanks

Hi Y'lese and thx for the info.

I have heard that they do weekly checks on PAs for number of members etc, so PAs with less than 5 characters will be disbanded. Could it be that ur Hall was reclaimed during the week and if the check went ahead, the PA would disband?

Darkhorn,

I dont think that ppl using PA Halls for personal residencee will be too big an issue considering that its a single char server game and that a PA disbands if less than 5 members. It just seems wrong to punish the PA leader or the unfortunate lot holder.

Questions again.., If.....

1. I put down a PA Hall .... I am leader and owner of Hall .... I proceed to put down furniture.

2. I do /transferstructure to an unfortunate lot holder.

In the above example, Do I remain PA leader with admin options?... I heard that the PA admin can only be operated by the owner.

Confused,

Acolstorm.

We're going to see Guild Halls as private residences a lot sooner than you think, if prices don't stop going down.

It seems to me that the simplest solution to all of this--the Artisan professions are stuck with a Small House or none at all, while players who choose the combat profession could have a Guild Hall as a personal residence--is to have two different sets of lots in the game. One pool of lots is used exclusively for houses, while the other is used exclusively for harvesters.
