do items like a power core that need to be factory produced require factory made sub components? So do materials and subcomponents all need to be identicle. Thanks much appreciated

Someone said you don't use factory made subcomponents then the schematic doesn't come out requiring them. For instance if you made 10 structure modules by hand, then made the wall schematic, it wouldn't matter what kind of structural modules you used after that. I haven't actually tested this myself but others here have posted it many times. One of these days I'll try it. I could sure use the exp that those modules give me that my factory eats 90% of.

I've never run into a problem making everything by hand.

higher lvl architect stuff like large houses require things made in a factory. They come out with the same serial number and is some larger buildings they require identicle items meaning same serial number. The only way to do this is to run them through a factory.

Built a PA Hall last night, the subcomponents of the Power Cores DID have to be identical for me, otherwise the factory would not build them correctly. Assume otherwise at your own risk.

I can verify thatsub-components for a factory made item must also be factory made and have the same serial number.

Power Cores absolutely require the sub-components all have the same serial number (and therefore, come from a factory crate)

However factory made walls can be made with any old structural modules, even if you make the wall schematic with struct mods from a crate. It doesn't put a serial number into the 'required ingreidents' if you look at them.
