Thread: Factory/Guild Hall question

So I'm trying to make a guild hall today and I have a question about the identical power core units. I need 2 identical generator turbines to do it. When I make my schematic for the generator turbines, do I need to make a schematic for 2 or 3? When I make my schematic for the power core units, I'll have to use a generator turbine, does it have to be identical to the other two that I will actually put in the factory later, or just use the exact same resources?

Powercoresproduced by the factories bugged. The Factories tend to eatsomeof the resources.

I would suggesta runwith enough resources for 6 Powercores.

Iput up enoughfor a run of 20 and got 15 back. So it will eat some. There has been a patch sincemy run so itmay have been fixed. I would not bet on it though.

I no longer lose power cores since 2 patches ago.

Also, be sure the subcomponents are identical! Unlike walls, the subs on a Power Core must be identical.

Yeah, I'm waiting on a master artisan to get me a bunch of converters and distributors in factory crates. I screwed up the first time and made a schematic for one too few turbines.

Ok, I give up. This thing is driving me nuts. Twice its eaten either the raw materials or the components and spit out nothing. I had a master artisan make, in a factory, a set of power conditions and energy distributors or whatver they are. They were identical. I made, in the factory, a set of generator turbines.

Then, I made the schematic for the power core unit, with the components pulled straight from the crates, and used the exact same materials that I would put into the factory later.

Result #1: Factory makes 1 power core unit, then stops eating a generator turbine.

I check all the ingredients in the input hopper. They are all correct.

Restart factory.

Result #2: Factory send me an email saying 0 have been produced. Eats 2nd (and last generator turbine)

scream

put in enough for one more power core unit. Triple check all components are correct.

restart factory

Result #3: 0 made, eats all resources, but leaves components this time.

I don't have tons of resources laying around so every time this happens, I have to wait, go digging around to find the exact same components I used the last time and try again. Once I finish this PA hall, I'm NEVER using a factory again.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

I am having the Exact same problem. It randomly eats my components and materials but has yet to make ANYTHING.

I hate this game.

I think I need to go pick a fight with someone to vent my frustration...know any game developers I could beat up? That might make me feel better...

You should never have a problem with making a schematic for too few units. make every schematic for 1000. just pay attention to how many resources you put in the factory.
