Thread: Any workaround on the factory eating resources?
Getting a master artisan to make you identical items, just so your factory can eat em, really makes me one unhappy architect.
Are there any workarounds on this?
or is it just a plain and simple BUG added to the HUGE PILE of "TO DO"'s in this game?
It would be somewhere in that huge pile. The devs have lost it in the pile because of the big to many noobs having melons bug.
Two things will help...
Get lots of each resource that you might want to use in a factory schematic, so that you can make as many copies of your item as possible. This is especially important for something like wall sections which cost you so much each time. It is still worth losing one wall section to make a 100 use schematic. But before you blow those resources make sure you have saved enough of the required materials for all 100 walls and don't use those resources for anything else. Finally when you do your factory run, you will make exactly 100 of your item, and lose no resources at end of run.
Second, for those factory runs where you are unable to reach 100 because of limited resource quantities, then pick a nice lower number such as 40 and again make sure you have enough of everything to make at least 40. Once the 40th item is made, your factory will not eat up any more resources.
Ialso lostlots of resources to incomplete factory runs until I started following both these rules.
Chocobacca - Flurry/Corellia
That's what seems to be working for me.
