I tried to Frankenstien the excel sheet docs use to calculate how much of what resources and sub comps they need to make buffs, but I am a major excel n00b. I was wondering do you architects use anything similar to this? I am trying t o gather quality resources to comission someone to craft a Food and Chemical Crafting Station for me. I know it will take time to gather the resources and wanted to have a laid out game plan and way to track my progress. Thanks for any help or advice.

Are you trying to help out a friend architect who's making the stations? Or are you just looking to get one for yourself? If you just want a station then I'd recommend posting a WTB ad in your server forum. You can often find high rating stations for sale in the 50k range (prices vary server to server). Collecting the resources probably wouldn't work for many architects since many of us do factory runs of the sub parts or have to buy them from master artisans or DE's.

There are a couple tools pointed to in the FAQ for this kind of stuff...

Tip 5.2: Check out the following Architect tools:

Note: I recommend doing a virus scan on these files before using them.

Architect Calculator:

Velrahn has been working on the Architect Calculator and updating it. It is a spreadsheet that will originally made by Eilla and Holti Kalvascian. The sheet will tell you the resource requirements are and calculate a cost for an item if given your cpu rate and profit %.

Crafting Assistant 1.3 : http://www.geocities.com/loserwan/

It will predict the BER rating for a harvester or crafting station functionality rating if you plug in all the quality stats for your materials.

About the author: "The author of this is Lucas E. Purcell. Also known as "Loserwan Ka'newbie" on the Tarquinas server. He is a skilled computer repairman, with a knack for problem solving. He plays the game a good deal, and wanted to give something to the gaming community."

Another Very good tool is Fooman and Jenner's tool on SWGCraft.com. It's actually under the Weaponsmith forums but can be very easily formatted for Architect (and by very easy i mean clicking 2 buttons lol). I use it for Armorsmith and Architect and it saves me a ton of time. It's an excel document, and a resource sheet comes attatched inside the document

My spreadsheet doesnt (yet) offer a quick total of the total resources to make stuff, but I find it pretty useful regardless. Link in my sig.
