Hi all,

Before the solo group nerf, I was selling an awful lot of furntiture, but since they nerfed the solo groups im selling very little furniture, harvs are still flying out though , I assume because people have less disposable income for decorative purposes. I was just wondering if everyone has similar problems, I know it will vary from server to server, just wanted a general picture of things, and also wondered if anyone had any helpful tips.

Before I dropped Archi (before solo group nerf), I was doing a pretty good business with the furniture. I had a couple of people who did interior design that would come to me for general items as well as special orders.

When I decided to drop Archi, I mass produced a bunch of the master level furniture to keep them supplied, however, the sales dropped off sharply (even before the solo nerf). I can see where the solo nerf may have had an effect on furniture sales, but I can still pull an 11k mission solo, granted, it's not 36k, but it's still pretty good.

On a related note, any architects want to buy my crates of master level furniture surplus?

I have noticed a slight decrease in my furniture sales.

There was an immediate drop-off when the solo group fix went in and then things slowly picked back up but they haven't yet returned to the level they were before the change.

My sales have also dropped off some. But it looks like the amount of inventory available on the bazaar in Cnet is also down.

Its possible there are fewer folks on .. many may be trying out those Christmas Gifts and it may be a while before things pick back up. Only the die hards are on and they have all the furniture they need.

I think in general that the economy has slowed down a bit in the past month or two and I think it is due to a few factors:

People leaving for EQ2 and WoW.

JTL boom has worn off.

People are busy with the holiday season and on vacation.

I don't sell furniture but I know my sales are down a lot lately. I've barely sold any harvesters in teh past couple weeks. However I've got a couple more unique reasons cause I was on vacation during the holidays and so my vendor stock dropped and I moved my home shop location bout a month ago andI think some customers might be having trouble finding me.

Personally I don't think the solomission nerf will really have that big of a difference on peoples buying habits. People can still make a lot of money in various ways, the solo mission nerf just cut off one very lucrative method.

Sales have been goin well for me actually. I had to make 100 of everything and drop a bunch of factories to store it all in because I couldnt keep up at one point.

I think that for the well established architects, sales remain the same due to word of mouth.

Harvester sales dropped off for a week or 2, but are back up to normal levels.

All in all, I still don't regret bein a day 1 architect

I think once people learn that the group fix wasn't the apocalypse they had been predicting, things will return to normal.

The combination of that, the holidays, and those two new MMO's that many people are playing are probably more responsible for any sales decline than anything else.

I only just started Architect on my Gorath char about a month ago. I intend to specialize in Furniture, Civic Structures and maybe Houses. I'm doing it casually and selling everything I make (no practice mode grinding). I don't really want to be so busy I am stressed out trying to keep up, so it works out well for me. I'm having a lot of fun working my way up a new profession too.

I'm working on Furniture 4 now. My shop is tucked in behind a large mall in a city crammed with Master Architects and Master Artisans but my sales have been pretty decent even so. And I don't think my prices are all that cheap either. I have to restock furniture every day. But I haven't been open for business long enough to notice any drop in sales because mine is still in it's growth stage.

However, I am a Master Tailor and Master Merchant on my other char, and I did notice a huge decrease in sales right after JtL and during the holidays. I also run a guild vendor that sells high end armor and weapons, and another that sells newbie level gear. All sales were slow until just this last week or so. Then *boom!* So I think it may have a lot to do with the other MMOs, JtL folks discovering there is a ground game too, and post-holiday shopping sprees.

I bet if you ask the politicians, they will also say there has been an increase in gaining new citizens. The JtL and 'I got SWG for Christmas' people have arrived planetside at last!

I haven't noticed an unusual drop in sales. My weekly totals are around what I'd normally expect, in fact some weeks as of late have been nicer.

AS is always the way, as soon as I logged in after posting this thread I was spammed with email from my furniture vendor. Seems like trade may be picking up again after all.

My vendor sales have remained steady, excepting for the holiday vacation lag in sales.

On Shadowfire we have several crafters who always put out a call for a specific resource offering to buy millions of units. This week 2 chef's are battling it out for some nice Flora and as a result I cannot keep ANY size flora harvestor in stock. I have made 60 since Monday and they sell within hours of being listed. Prior to the chef's posting what they wanted I had 50heavies and 50 mediums on my vendor that werent touched in a few days, those all sold in 1 day. It is getting crazy and with the poofing of 2 factories (said no maintanence but had over 130k in each) I am falling behind and its tough going catching up.
