They need to allow architects to begin crafting defensive and offensive desctructible installations. Turrets, Gun Emplacements, Shield Generators, etc. While it's nice that people who can PvP or run faction missions for 20 hours/day will eventually be able to buy a large turret, most of us crafters will never to get see them.

What would be better is if architects could craft something that is actually "Needed" like weapons, droids or armor, versus just a convenience like a house. If architects could craft turrets or guns or shield generators, there would be an incredible amount of demand for them. And if these items were destructible, then there would be repeat business. Obviously there would have to be some balancing so that these structures are very expensive to build in terms of resources, thus making them expensive to buy and limiting their construction. But you wouldn't have to worry about overpopulation if they can be destroyed by the opposite faction.

Also, I haven't put much thought into how this would play into the factions yet. Is the turret's "faction" determined by the architect who builds it? Or by the person who places it? Are there different offensive and defense installations for the Rebels and the Imperials? Should only overts have access to the schematics to force them to accept greater risk? Should neutrals have the ability to place a turret?

If I could design the system, my answers would be: The schematic would have to be purchased with faction points, but could be transferred (a good way for combat types to make money would be to sell those schematics to crafters). Thus, a neutral architect who buys the Imperial large turret schematic from an Imperial soldier could only build Imperial Large Turrets and those could only be placed by Overt Imperials - so their customers would be limited to Imperials. I would have mostly the same schematics among the Rebels and Imperials, but with some differences (ion cannons for rebels, perhaps, for anti-vehicular - anti-AT-AT for instance) while giving the Imperials a mini-Death Star Ray type of cannon.

I understand the desire to limit these types of installations to those who can spend the faction points over and over on them. But architects need a more viable business. And this allows us to contribute to the GCW. And it makes the game, most of all, FUN!! I wouldn't mind storing up 200k resources to build a large ion cannon for the Rebels - which a Rebel PA very well might be willing to spend 1 million credits on.

As for sales to those who are neutral and not part of the GCW? Not sure what you could build them. Any good ideas??
