Thread: Price check on fusion generators please
Just curious. Trying to figure out a range of selling these things. Right now I'm not a master and consistently get 13 BER's and sometimes 14 BER. Thanks for your help.

160k for ber 14, don't sell anything less for fusions.
It takes 5 factory produced components to make, i factor that into the cost above the cost it takes to mine the resource and bring to market. The market price for resources I take from what the local resources are selling for (extremely high in my opinion - but can't moan as i sell most of mine at these prices as well, why spend hours making something and called names when I can make better profits selling the resource)
The other point is the payback time on the 160k, which is measured to around5 days if you selling at cpeu and hit a nice 90% spot. If not selling the power then it'll save you the same in credits for buying the stuff.
I tend to buy up all the fusions that sell for 80 to 120k use them for a shift and then sell them on as I more than made my money back on them in 3 days, plus i have the added advantage of not having to spend all my game time doing factory runs to make them.
Others exploit the system and call it business, i'll exploit the foolish, that pander to the lazy.
i usually sell them for 100k retail, 90k to repeat or bulk customers. I tend not to charge anything more for them cause i can't adjust the extraction thru experimentation. Thats roughly the 3cpu cost.
Now, i don't use any of the ber 14s i make. I have a 28 and 25 from a while back and a 16 from pre patch that i use to support my various fields. Drop a BER 28 on a 90% vein and your talking a unit every 2 seconds.

Thanks to everyone who replied. The information is of great use to me to get a range of prices.

FWIW this is the first time in ages that I have seen people post "normal" prices that are below what I charge (or would charge if I made these).
90k is under 4cr per unit, which now that we need HQ steel and ores is too low IMHO.
Agreed.
BER <= 14 : BER x 10,000
BER <=20 : BER x 20,000
BER < 30 : BER x 40,000
posted something similar in another topic...something about factory cost and price..
COST for a fusino with 3.5 cred pr unit is 89 145,0 Credits.... with factory cost ,5 = 133 717,5 Creditds SALE price.......put someting no top to make some creds that din't cost you anyting like everybody else dows... say 200k for a heavy fusion generator...
this due to the fact..you need a Structural facotry to make the components identical....that you need to cover....
base cost before experiment and so on
fusion power generator Deed - Cost - 1800 resources
Similar Wall modules 5 - Cost 15000 Resources
Identical (factory made) - Generator turbine 3 - Cost 4250 resources
Identical (factory made) - Small Storage module 4 - 520 resources
Identical (factory made) - Manufacturing Mechanism 2 - 3800 resources
Grand total of resources needed = 25470
Price for resources (bad estimate) 3.5 creds pr unit resource
Math should look like this
25470,0 Units of resource * 3,5 (price pr unit resource) = 89145 Credits COST
then you add about 0,5 in factory cost and maint (this is including cost for power and maint)
89145 * 1,5 = 133 714,50 Credits
Now we need to make a profitt on top of that so lets make that 0,5 like the cost we have for factory maint and power use.
133 714,50 Credits * 1,5 = 200 576,30 Credits
So the sale's price should then be 200K for a BASE Fusion Generator or one could use this price flatt and charge 200k for the fusion generator whatever the base might be.
your choice but i have done the math on this one and taking cost of structural modules......how much resources used...cost and so on...and i realy don't think that 200k is a bad price for a god radioactive ore harvester like the fusion generator is...and the power you get out of it if you find some realy nice radioactive ore with a high PE rating.
