I put all the componets into the factory etc. and started my factory. Went to pick up the 84 ore mining units and found NONE In crates. I wanted to make some heavy mining installations. So, ok, I tried to put two of these into the crafting kit to make my heavy mining installation. Kept saying they had to be from a crate. Well, that would be good if they came in a crate GRRRRRRR....how is this corrected or what did I do wrong?

he said none of the units IN THE FACTORY were in a crate. I assume he meant in his output hopper. He then used 2 of these FROM THE FACTORY and then he got that message...

why would you get different serial numbers for that? Isnt it the same serial number as the schimatic? thats why you have a 1000 limit on the schimatic, so you can stop and start again later and keep the same serial number.

reminded me to delete my old sig from my other forum account

OMU's do not crate up. This is a known bug. They will have the same serial number, so can be used in the schematics for Heavy's. Just check your serial numbers.
