What kinds of radioactives are most used? Where should i look for em?

Survey for them with the mineral survey device - they're not always present and occasionally vanish for a few days till the next resource shift. If mining for power and there's more than one type present, aim to get the highest potential energy rating.Material with a 500 rating returns 1 unit of power per unit of radioactive, scaling up to 2 units of power per single unit of radioactive for material with a 1000 P/E rating.

Ok this may be a dumb question,

So what do less than 500 PE return?

If it is still 1 per unit is the only thing that yields 2 per unit 1000PE and not 1 less?

Hope this made sense.

The equation is:

energy = min(1, (PE/500)) * units of resource

That is, if PE less than or equal to 500, then 1 unit of resource = 1 unit of energy. If PE is greater than 500, then 1 unit of resource = PE/500 units of energy. For example, PE750 will give you 1.5 units of energy per unit of resource.
