Is there items besides the ugly backpacks to drop in my house to store items? I have a house and I am currently attempting to decorate it but do they make a nice looking storage device??

Sorry, but as far as I know there are no other items to storage items inside. Just the bagpacks...
Or you could use unlocked container's (lootable from npc's, then let it open from a smuggler)
And I saw some small pocket's, I think they are loot from npc's, too.

There's really no other option, unless you want to store things in the input hopper on a crafting station, or in the stockroom of a vendor. The former I wouldn't recommend as it's easier to split different types of items among differently labeled backpacks, and the later I wouldn't recommend as it's likely the devs are going to completely ruin the player vendor system, and you could very well lose a lot of things in the process.
Basically, stick with the backpacks for now

Place them against the wall (but sticking out a bit) and then drop an armoire or cabinet over them. You'll have to walk into it in order to see the packs and get to them but still.
