Seems we could have our answer to the fusion question. When I made a fusion today, not only did efficiency not show up in experimentation, it also did not show up on assembly, under the misc heading it used to. Seems its totally gone now. I havent tried making one with low-quality resources yet, but may in the near future(thats a lot of resources to waste).

Edit: Interestingly tho, it still shows on the schematic. Maybe Im just remembering wrong. Its been a while, I made a schematic for them a while back and havent needed to make one by hand for some time.

You must be using top quality resources now. This same thing happened to me when I used all top quality materials. It appears that if your base assembly gives you the cap BER, there is no chance to experiment on it. There is no need..... unless of course you bomb on storage experimentation andthe BER drops to 13... then you have no way of increasing it back to 14 because you do not havethe option of experimenting on efficiency at all. Bummer. Just something to thnk about. Most people are concerned with BER and could care less about a few more storage points. (Again I said most.... large mining corps like a little extra room cause it buys them an extra day or so without having to run the harvs)

I tried the fusion again with lower quality resources again and got the experimentation bar. This was a little while ago tho, so I am not sure if things have changed underneath inthe past number of weeks when I first noticed this.

Well, I tried the test with the lower quality resources on a solar, and even though I had a BER of 7, it still only gave me the option to experiment on storage.

I hadnt tried using low quality resources previously, because it never made sense to.

I just went and tried the same thing again too. And I got the same results as Phaze.(i.e. no bar for experimentation) I got to thinking back about this ( I believe my noticing of this phenomena was before last patch). I seem to recal it was either BER 14, or if you used slightly lower quality stuff, it was not starting at BER 13, it was all the way down to 10 or 11 or somthing. I just remember thinking that was odd. But all that is pointless now with the new data from recent tests.

Aureman, even if you bomb on storage it wont change the BER.....all it will do is stick ya at 100K for storage.
