Ok, today I accepted the biggest and strangest order of my career (only been an architect for a year, and on my server, I was 1 of only 2 archs to make BER 14's on Super Tuesday, but I digress). The order was for 160 medium naboo houses. That's right, 160! I had to think about that a while to consider the shear magnitude of such an order. Immediately, I thought about ore. Ore. ORE. And why wouldn't I? But then I thought about the factory time.
Anyway, I took the order, which pays 65k per + 1M tip. Not bad...not bad at all, considering our "dead" profession. I got half up front, and today made the first 22 houses. When I logged off, my 2 factories had made 1500 struct mods already today (a scratch on the wall to what will be needed, but a good start for the first day).
Right now I have just 12 heavies on ore, 5 on copper/aluminum, and 3 pulling more radio. I'll shift around when I'm sure I have enough copper/aluminum for gen turbines and wall reinforcement, and focus all attention on ore, eventually placing 20 or 21 harvs on ore, and if it still seems like the factories are too idle, I'll borrow a few lots from a guildie.
I told the ppl that ordered them to give me 10 days. Considering the 2.2M in ore that I'll need, and another 1M in various metal, that seems a fair wait. And of course, the ore gods were not kind to me. On all of Tat, the best ore conc was in downtown Mos Entha at 58%. I was able to place on 57% outside a player city. On Lok I found 68%, which my combat chars were able to clear and use. Oh what I wouldn't have given for a nice 75% conc of carbonite ore some place on Tat! At least my BER 14's are getting a good workout this week.

Although not in the same league as the first post, but one conversation went like;
customer) Hi, whats you price for a Tat GH?
me) sure can make you one, price X
customer) *pauses* ok, how much for a Tat CH?
me) ok, have enough resources for that, price Y
customer) *pauses again* ok what the price for both. (Power core units are a pain when only doing small schemic runs)
me) sure, discount of whatever.
Five minutes pass,
customer) Oh, can you chuck in 10 small tat houses with that please.
Ok, so for some people this may be just using up some spare wall units that they mayhave, but for me it was my first order for a complete new city!
If you want a real laugh, go talk to the contracter npc in a guild hall and ask for a difficult architect mission.
What did I get? Please make 10 Corellian City Halls

LOL, and if I remember you told me said customer cancelled the 10 small Tat houses, because he found 20 in a backpack - hehe
Don't you just love those crated power core units

I had a strange thing happen just the other night. I'm still trying to figure it out.
I was in the process of revamping my shop using my new vendors and was also doing some re-decorating. I just finished doing a factory run of Bestine and Theed Candles and put them in a backpack.
I just created a new "Lighting and Candles" vendor and was moving my stock from my old vendor to my new one. As you can imagine, it took a bit to move my existing stock. In the mean time, I put my backpack of candles on my Utility vendor to make room in my inventory while I restock. I priced it at 500K (note how over-priced that is - that was on purpose).
After another 30 minutes, I log to run some errands. Now here's the strange part ...
When I came back, someone came in a bought all my Theed and Bestine candles on my vendor AND ... they bought the damn backpack LOL.
For the life of me, I can't figure out why anyone was desperate for that many candles!
No complaints though
Other than having to do another factory run heh.

These are just planned cities they want to implement. Considering the structure in question, probably with a wall surrounding the PVP arena.
Well, I sure as hell hope you don't get hoppers full of solid petro fuel, AS I DID YESTERDAY, when you try to retrieve that ore.

My first large order was 50 heavy harvesters, I'm sure it's dwarfed by the longer-running architects here, but I was proud of it because I filled the order in the time it took the factories to run the final combine, a few hours. I had more than enough components for them all, I even made extras. I was pretty happy about that.

My largest order was for 100 medium Naboos... a tough order to fill and keep vendors stocked and other orders handled! But now I see that was nowhere near tops. lol /salute
My craziest order was for 20 small beds marked "Bunk", and 20 strange statues (the one's that look like scarecrows) maked "REBELS BEWARE!" lol

I have had a few collosal orders.
but at my prime I was the architect to come to if you had a mega order.
I have had the 50 of each heavy (yes 50 mineral 50 chem, 50 gas, 50 flora, 50 water, 50 fusion)
I have had the craziest medium orders as well.
one guy got like 2-300 med minerals and 50 of each other medium.
I have had someone order 1000 torches
I have had several thousand plants ordered
I have seen pretty much all of it.
Strangest orders are likely the ones Moolyssa would do, so I eventually just gave her access to my account as it was easier
