e!We can't get our reasources as fast. That's a bummer yes, but now even the large PA halls will be forced to push the market price up on the homes! This is cool for those of us that dont want to be part of a huge guild!

e!This patch does not affect everyone, for example me and most of the crafter in my PA(with a few exception) have been paying Full Credits/Energy maintence for our harvester since day 1 of release, all our sale price have taken this fact into account so will remain relatively unchange(may even see a happy inflation as the market average rises)

I disagree, and point to the first response as support. Big PA crafters and power gamers have been paying maintanence on their harvesters since day 1 because they had the credits. Casual gamers and solo crafters were able to almost compete by using the make and destroy harvester methods. But now we can't do that so PAs will be at a much larger advantage.

e! It took us 3 hrs and a change of plans to get set up this morning ..I had to add 18k to my day to day upkeep and lose a harvester or 2...This isnt too bad as long as ican sell what i make i can keep up...I am gald to see alot of the crash and burn mining operators go this was flooding the recource market ..Maybe we cant start getting paid to make these wonderful in game structures..

It's bad in the sense that it makes Arch a speculative occupation due tothe ultra high costs. If you can't play a couple of hours every night, and most casual gamers can't by definition, then you will easily lose your investments. If that's your situation then at best you are now forced to join larger coops to sustain personal growth. Which always means spending a lot of game time doing things you don't really want to but are obliged. Which is why I no longer group. Ah well maybe Arch is no longer for soloists. Too bad, I was having fun.

By the way, for what it matters, another reason this is a really bad policy is that it punishes new players for being new. Thank goodness I just hit Houses2 last night so I can build generics. I do feel sorry for newb Artsthough. Crossing that 33k xpchasm is going to be extremely painful now. They may never be able to compete with the current players on an even playing field.

I have said it in other threads, and I am going to say it here one more time before I put it in my Sig for good:

Architect is not a profession for the casual gamer, there are a lot of professions that will let you play 2-3 hours a night, this is not one of them, infact I would go as far to say any crafting profession is not for the casual gamer.
