Assembly does not help with experimentation as far as anybody can tell, except that if it reduces the possibility of critical failures on assembly (difficult to test since this is supposed to be a random generator type calc, and if truly random then it is impossible to tell), then it might also reduce the possibility of failures/less than great results on experimentation as well.

I guess the devs need to tell us if assembly modifiers actually do anytjing

perhaps with the new chanes they will actually explain how things work.

Ok something is wrong with my computer..not sure why it posts and then puts up the message screen...ANYWAY..my question is...

Is "Assembly" under the Crafting Mastery required to produce a lightsaber or it helps build a better one in some way? I assume it does not matter which skills you get in the FS stuff as long as you complete 6 branches and go on...?

None of the FS skills are really required to do anything as a Jedi, cept you need any 6 to be a Jedi. Assembly gives you a better chance of getting an amazing assembly. Which means the base stats will be a little higher than normal before expermenting. Right now expermenting on a LS does very little, and assembly bonus in general is extremely small in general.
