What is the general feeling here amongst architects about the candles and bulbs going out now? I'm not a arch and thats why I ask. As someone who puts a lot of time and effort into their home this change is absolutely ridiculous. I've got all sorts of lighting arrangements through out my house and I really doubt I'm going to be running around my house once a month changing every single one. Thus I'll be looking for alternative sources of light that won't burn out just because of this incredibly time consuming hassle.

I know this appears to be a money sink for the rest of us to help out the archs, but I really feel like people will buy less lights and candles from you guys because of this hassle. People that care about their house won't want to replace every bulb and candle, and people who are just part-time decorators won't give a shat enough to buy candles and bulbs every-time. I don't think you guys are gonna win in any circumstance.

I've heard people talking about replaceable wics and bulbs.. and this makes a little more sense. I guess I wouldn't mind running around my house changing these instead of completely having to replace everything.

I love with everything that needs changing, once again they blow us away with a completely ridiculous "fix".

Just another thing that they can point to and say, "See we fix things!"

Does anyone need to wonder why I say putting the easiest fixes on their plates will only result in those easy items being fixed?

Yeah, this is a small fix, but something that really annoys people after they let it go for over a year.

Wasn't necessary in my opinion.

I don't recall us asking for this to be fixed. It might have made our top 20 issues but I don't even know about that.

I have been reading this forum for a few months now and I must say, I can't recall anyone mentioning this as an actual problem. We were all aware of the fact theat they didnt burn out, but I think we all had the sense that it would be more of a hassle to replace them regularly. This is really one of those occasions where w3e must be thankful that our profession is largely ignored... this is what it feels like to get dev lovein'

Gustavus, you took the words right out of my mouth. I'm in the same boat, and I feel the same way. I'm very happy to support my local architects with lots of business, I love decorating, but changing all those candles...*shudder*...not gonna happen lol.

Tiggs posted that burn out was not intended and was broken in the latest publish. Hopefully they will get around to fixing it soon, as most people I have spoken to are not intending to buy replace lights or candles. They are heading off to Kashyyyk to loot those glow sticks which never burn out.
