Being Master Archy, BFD. Takes one of sever types of grind, that's it.
Being a businessman, that's something else.
Going off topic a bit... being Master Carbine means I can hold a type of gun, and I have specials. I used to be killed on the mission to gather Alderann Flora whith food drink and spice. Nowdays, I only get incapped *IF* there's a high level spawn of meanie Rancor nearby. Otherwise, I don't even need spice. The difference being that I learned how to use what I've got.... Though I don't seriously PVP, my knowledge of combat isn't good enough. I mean, if I see a dozen overt rebel jedi in Theed, I'll attack them, but only to grind my Master Clone badge.
Being an Archy means you can make stuff. That's just the start. Selling it is PVP. You're competing with hundreds of other furniture guys. And you're cooperating with them (I knew someone who could not get factory runs of power cores to work. She could do walls fine, so she wasn't clueles, just couldn't do cores. So she bought them from me; 2.5cpu in stacks of 50-100. Or... I build a food factory for an upcoming chef, he paid in ore and steel. Stuff like that means I have people out there who refer customers to me for special orders - most of the referals are happy to pay....)
Then there's bazaar ads.... Starport spamming.... Sales.... Auction channel spamming... Galaxy trade spam... Unique items... (Meditation Pool [renamed fountain], Tanned Wookie Hide / Tanned Rebel Hide / Tanned husbands hide when he pissed off his PMSing wife...) There's location (Mall? Busy city? Built up zone around starports? Heavy competition? Underserved area? for me it was dumb luck in the location department...)
When you say that no one wants anything, that tells me you suck at business PVP. Last night I sold 100k in blue couches, 50k in statues, and a bunch of chairs. That's last *night*, not the daytime...
'twas difficult getting established (in the days when not paying your harv meant it poofed instead of drawing from your bank account); but that meant I had to be a better PVPer.

Um, yah, your siggy.... Er.... you do know about running a business.
I dunno, I haven't played the other crafting proffs, but I know I see more archy stuff sitting around than foods. But most of those archy vendors are half assed jobs, partially stocked, etc. Maybe the higher competition means it's harder to be successful in this field? But that's for others to mindlessly ramble about. My coffee is wearing off; my brain hates me now.

1. Master Merchant (or get high enough to have a few vendors), then open a shop with a vendor for houses and a vendor for furniture then try to fill these with a few of everything.
2. Then Make a macro to tell people what you are selling and regester your vendor (if you are high enough in merchant register the vendor) go to a popular place to run this macro.
3. after this you may want to have more than one shop, so people dont have to travel so far.
This is what i did and today im bringing in money every day
