Well I dabbled in architect for awhile and I know you guys are hurting for new content and renewable income. So after a little brainstorming session these are a few items that i think would make great additions to the Architect profession.

1. Camera - This item would be usable by people and present them with a unique point of view to take snap shots of people/landscapes etc... Once a picture had been taken it can be uploaded to the next device.

2. Portrait Printer - This device would take the data disc that stored your pictures and allow the user to print Painting/Poster size portraits that then could be used as decorations, or displayed in art shows.

*Possible Source of Renewable income - Data Storage Discs for Cameras. Each disc could only hold 10 pictures and once used in the printer would be useless and a new one would need to be purchashed.

3. Terrain Modification Modules for a future Vehicle - This module would be used in conjunction with a vehicleto flatten uneven spots in a city to therefore make city planning easier. IT would need to be used within city limits to prevent people from abusing it's power and runing the landscapes on all planets.

4. PVP/PVE Arena - This has been a dream of mine for long time. These would be enourmous buildings that are modeled after the arenas we saw in EP 1-3. Inside these arenas people could setup dueling toureys , battles or other pvp events. Unique controls to such an arena would be:

  • Instant Spawn Terminal: Think of this as a panel that the arena administrator(s) have acces to that would allow the spawning of beasts/npcs that could be used in contests/battles. There would be no loot/xp granted from these creatures and would only serve the purpose of providing satisfying player event tools to improve events.

  • Rules Terminal: Controls how long a duel/battle can take place and how the winner is determined - ie #incaps or db. An alternative newsystem could need to be introduced to keep track of actual damage done to determine winners, so incap and deathblows would not be the only way of determining the winner. THere is a tracking system for looting rights, so I know this is doable.

5. Apartment Buildings - This would help gussy up some of the dreary looking cities. These complexes would be gigantic in heights and have between 20-50 Rooms for rent. Each Apartment would be apporxitamately the size of a small , or possibly medium house. There would be hallways and elevators to connects all floors. Social rooms could also be designated on a particular floor. Rent would be paid to the buliding owner. Creating this complex would take a ridiculus amount of resources and the upkeed would be high too. There fore the owner would have control on the rent. THe mayor of the city would have descrepency to set min/max rent rates in the city. Perhaps by defualt the architect could receive a % of the monthly rent.

6. Manufacturing facility - Think of this a the Super Factory. This facility would have the unique ability to be programmed to take new schematics from a list and produce the next item, if necessary resources are present. It would also have the ablity to take finished components and transfer them to the input hopper for the final stage of crafting an item. This facility conceivably would require 5-6 lots as it would be huge.

1 & 2 - Have been brought up before - SOE shot it down because of the amount of disk space it would take to store player snapshots.

Building on additions... Not literally, but the ability (For a Small fee of course) to increase house inventory. Like adding on an extra room.

Devs have already said the lag issues from flattening terrain are unreasonable.

An arena might be an interesting idea, unless it was just used as a simple grind spot.

Allowing factories to have queues sounds interesting, but I don't know about the automation involving self-movement of components. Devs don't seem eager to make crafting less of a chore as of yet.

Ive been talking for months about high rise residential buildings. I think its a great idea.

Id love to live in the city in a nice apartment. Storage would have to low for each unit i imagine, but there is potential for many new features. I want to be able to live in the buldings that ar in the major cities of Tyrena and Coronet or Theed. But also to be able to craft multi person buildings.

Buildings could be owned by indivdual and rent paid to the owner and owner pays the maintenence.

No slum lords please!

terrain is not possible as one of the devs came on from a reply of that idea or was it tiggs but either way they mentioned that the terrain is rendered in a perminate hard coding and it sits there for so long and when u place a house or a structure on that hard coding it like sinks into it and it adds the lag to the database or something in this regards but i know that the terrain and npc cities and such is part of the hard code of the game and cannot be modified by players or it can disrupt more lag and cause other tpes of stress on each players computer this way

because the structers and so on is in database and terrain and npc cities is in the hardcode there is no real way to mix it

I Really like the one about Apartments It would be awsometo makecitys lookneater and that way the mayor could have parts of the city look as they wanted it to not howhouses were just palced by citizens and it would really cutdown costs for new playerstoo!
