if i have a survey macro running how do i get past the survey event? it stops the macro

Most people would have you believe that AFK sampling is somehow bad. I don't know why. Many times (such as holo-grinding) people need to quickly bang out surveying xp.

As for the survey events, the only way to manually get around them is to stand and start sampling again. So here is the macro I use:

/sample;

/pause 180;

/stand;

/pause 120;

/ui action toolbarSlot##;

The toolbarSlot## is the slot where you put this macro (e.g. the far upper left slot is toolbarSlot00 and count up from there).

The worst case for this macro is that you get an event right after you start sampling, in which case you'll start again 5 minutes later. This is a good one to just leave on all night.

P.S. When you wake up the next day, you'll have to close about 5000 survey event windows =)

third party macro....

put a piece of tape on your monitor when the box pops up where the CANCEL box is...or use a marker

DO NOT EVER DO THE EVENT...it just wastes ham with no real benefit

start the macro recorder

click that spot wait2-3 seconds click it again

stop recorder...edit it to repeat 5000X and then start it

combined with the survey macro from the game, the 3rd party one will click the box for you

the survey event was one of the dumbest most useless things they added to the game...if anyone is hand sampling for anything aside from survey XP then they have been sniffing clue...but thats Koster for you...he thought it was FUN to use up 300 ham for 7 units of some resource..

TIP: if you are doing it for points, just find any resource 80+, usually chemicals can easly be found in the 80-90 range..you'll get points faster
