Thread: Moved from small house to med. house and lost buisness?
Im just a up and coming arch. so i dont get people seaching for me, just foot traffic that comes in buys things. Last night i moved from a small house to a med. house and i havent sold anything since. Has anyone else had this problem? Im guessing its because on the med. house the sign is hiding and no one knows its a shop. Maybe ill make one of this generic houses with the sign that stickssss way out there. Just was wondering if this happend to anyone else.

Guess Ill try the spamming in town now and then. I had a pretty good walk in buisness and sold quite a bit as the house was in a good spot. Buti think it must be the hidden sign on this new med. house as i have only sold 2 things in the 3 days since i upgraded. I really wish (and ive seen a spot for them on the Baz.) that we could make signs/billboards to put in front of our shops. I have a good spot but there is also 15-20 other houses around me and i get lost among the masses i guess.
When I decided to move from my business from my smallTat house to a large one (which doesn't have a sign), I was able to place my large one pretty much right beside the small one. I left my small one up for awhile, but change the sign so that it indicated my business had moved next door. This seemed to have worked pretty good.
Also, if you don't chat with people too much using /tells, or spend time sample macroing, you could change your AFK message in to an advertisement for your business. This is what I did, and it worked really well. I'd leave myself in AFK state most of the time and would turn it off when I spoke to people using /tells. Now I have had enough customers, that my business runs mostly off word-of-mouth.
Good luck, and I hope you business picks up.
LOL Logray.. I did that with a Potted Tree. Changed the name to my business and coords and put it on the bazzar for sale for 3k.
Someone bought it 2 days later when there was no other trees on the market.
So someone somewhere has a plant the corner of their home... advertising for me. hehehe
