I'm curious to know how many architects are getting the same feeling I am?

No more XP to be gained. No more points to spend on skills. No new items to build. Every item we make is exactly like everyone else's item -- no difference between anything at all. The same dailygrind of "Pay the harvester, power the harvester, collect the harvester, repeat." And nothing to spend money on once you earn it.

I find myself not wanting to build yet another Small House or Medium Miner. What's the point? To earn a couple more thousand credits that can't be spent on anything? To buy a ship a *year* from now, if the schedule holds?

I guess there is always Player Cities coming... right? Yeah... someday... but judging by the deafening silence coming the Devs, I wouldn't start holding my breath just yet.

I keep thinking on the next resource shift, I just won't bother to put my harvesters down. The question then, though, is why keep paying the $15 a month?

Any eternal optimists out there that can share some more encouraging point of view? Or has it really gotten this bad for you guys, too?

Yep, I'd say set aside the architect gig for a bit and go play with something else while you can before you get completely locked out if you are going to be a UP.

Personally, I pass the time playing with my pet Ronto "Lucy". We have a lot of fun running around just killing things that happen to randomly get in our way.

I'm not necessarily going for master CH and I'm really not into the PvP side of the game at the moment so I didn't do it to be "uber" (I hate that word). I did it for a change of pace from the daily grind.

If combat of some sort isn't your thing, take up a hobby profession like weaponsmith, or Chef to keep doing some crafting, or entertainer or doctor to get more socially involved with others in the game.

If none of these are appealing to you, I think you're right, paying the $15 a month probly isn't worth it to do daily harvester runs and click a few times.

Only other thing you could try, and I know this isn't for everyone, but find some roleplayers in the area and get involved in something they are doing. It can be fun to just play your character, the disgruntled architect while sitting in a player run cantina with a few others who are role playing out some negotiations or whatever.

Whatever you do, best of luck.

I know, go out to some middle of nowhere spot and start creating your own sub-division. 4 Model homes fully furnished( all small) and a couple of Mediums and one Large. Make a cantina, a Med center and a Mall. This should keep you busy for God knows how long not to mention it would just be dam cool. /shrug, least I think it would be.

Your basic points are correct, I however amstill anoptimist.

There should be a difference in the quality and durability of our buildings.

Buildings should decay ( at a vairable rate based upon the buildings stats even if pay mantenance is kept up, faster if it isnt.

Experimentation should do something, decay rate ( at the least ) as mentioned above, but I can think of other ways to use experemtation.

The game is young, a year from now some issues will still not be dealt with. a hard fact to know, but still true all the same. EQ is still evolving now, years and years after the release.

Hopefully they will work on these things, and of course hundreds and hundreds of people will threaten to quit with every single change. The best the developers can do is ignore the people that threaten and do their best to complete and balance the game.

I have hopes they will.

I'm still having fun.

And, not to be rude, but it seems your statements are a blanket that would cover just about every Master crafter, and possibly every Master profession. That is, many people from many professions are starting to see that they're 'done' with current 'content', and are asking why they're sticking around.

And how long has the game been out?

Theres plenty of time and patches/updates for them to add new stuff.

If building isnt your thing, then mabye go with Entertainer/Creature Handler/Ect.
