I'm currently thinking about buying a medium house. Is this true that houses made with different materials will have different maintenance fees? If so how can I tell if I'm getting a well made house or not?

I bought a small generic house last week. I put it down right away just to see it and then reclaimed the deed to move it. The fee to reclaim it was like 800 credits. Is that a high reclaim fee for that house type? I'm just curious about what the fee differentials can be if quality varies.

That info is not correct. At the moment resource type used and any experimentation done on homes, harvesters or factories does nothing. What you paid is right for any small home regardless of style, floorplan or resources used.
