how much dose it cost to make a heavy flora farm? I'm wondering because I've sean some people with a Doctor title on spamming to buy these aswell as some of the doctors in my guild and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to take up architect to make things like this for my guild to keep them suplyed with lok wild wheat.

Takes about 25k in resources to make a heavy flora. Roughly.

I went to that link and added it all up ( multiplying by the number of componets I know) and it comes out to exactly 12680. a far cry from 25k still, at an avrege of 5 cpu you could spend over 50k to make one plus the time spent, so I guess they'd go for about 5-6k per BER?

Check again, the total resources I just added up to 24,580 units. You may be not spotting that 6 walls take 17,400 units in total including structural modules (10 needed for each wall) and that there are 2 or more of all components.

I guess that resource prices on yr server are quite high, as a rule of thumb I use 3cpu as the 'average cost', but his varies depending upon which resources are used of course. so let us say for sake of argument that 4cpu is a good number, then this will cost 100k to make, but that means that you should sell significantly above this number in order to cover all other costs such as time, factory maintenance, power etc. IMO 5-6k per BER is not a good enough basis to use to sell on, or even 10-12k now that you know you need double the resources you thought. In reality you need to cover other things as well, possible critical failures during experimentation, resources used up in creating a schematic etc. And bear in mind that a BER13 has considerably more value than a BER 12 to most of your customers.
I sell these at 185k per on Bria, they are in demand and they sell well enough so I am happy with that. Any 12s I discount to around 150k and 11s (not that I get these) to around 110k.

But, check prices on your server to find what others sell at, that is always a good guide for what your customer base will stand.

This is really the heart of the question. It isn't so much about exactly how much resources a flora harvester takes - it's about the notion of becoming an architect such that you can make some harvesters for your guildies.

A heavy harvester takes, as others have noted, about 25,000 resources. However, it turns out that about 23K of those resources have no particular attributes needed in terms of quality - that is, they can be made with "grinding" steel and ore - the stuff that sells for 3-4 cpu. But that last 2-3K of resources need to be very high quality to hit BER13 - the stuff that sells for 6-10 cpu. Furthermore you need to assemble a lot of resources and make multiple factory runs to build heavies.

To get to the point where can make top-rated harvesters, you need to go to 0/4/4/0 (at least) in Architect. That will entail getting about 700K of structure crafting experience. That will require you to get and burn through over 350K of resources.

So, if your guild needs *lots* of heavy harvesters, then it might make economic sense for one person become an architect to make the harvesters for the guild. But if you are only talking about 15-20 or less harvesters, I think you'd be better off just buying them.
