Thread: What needs to be experimented to make max BER harvestors and Extractors

OK I've been a master architect for a while now. Until now I haven't tried to make any max rate medium or large extractors and harvestors. Well now I'm going to try my hand at it and needed a few questions anwered and some advice. For minerals I know the Ore Mining Unit needs to be over 90% for me to have a chance at BER13. My question is do the walls need to be highly experimented as well? Now I know that the ssu and gen turbines can't be experimented so does it matter if i make them from crap resources or should I use high quality resources for them as well? Thanks for any help.

The only things that matter are the OMU/FDP/HM and the final assembly.

When making fusion generators using good OMU during experimentation and good quality materials during final combine will get you a BER14. If you don't use good materials you'll end up with a lower BER.
I wouldn't even bother with solar gens at this point, windmills are high BER.

Yeah, apparently until you put them through a factory, then the omus break all the rules we are used to
