Thread: 2 months now, still no answers to the top 10 questions
Well hopefully if this great forum will not wipe out my reply this time (millions in revenues - crap for feedback systems) I can say this.
I am TIRED of the devs being their own worst enemy in the storage of this game. As a communications systems programmer and DBA it takes like 2 seconds to understand that their inability to deal logically with storage limitations has caused rampant cascades of containers being created by cross-lot trading, not to mention that people who plan on playing this game are NOT going to throw ANYTHING away EVER.
Crating OMU's, stacking resources, increasing storage for MEDIUM HOUSES, LARGE HOUSES, and GUILD HALLS is an architect concern -- and therefore our issue.
Putting architects aside, everyone is cross-lotting! I know approximately 20 Master Tailors and they all cross-lot their showrooms because the CANNOT FUNCTION WITHOUT THEIR HARVESTOR LOTS. Trust and contracts in this game are a joke. I can (thankfully) count on 2 hands the number of people I implicitly trust and that's only because we have phone and developed relationships outside of the game.
Consignment sales are impossible, and lot rental means you have to TRUST players that will dime you out at the next moment for 5 credits more. True lot rental on a timed basis would totally change the dynamics of this game completely.
Speaking as a Master Merchant, too, the bazaar continues to completely devalue that profession to the point of worthlessness. Instead of increasing a Merchant's ability to be a world-class merchant they increase the bazaar to further grief people playing Merchants.
The two-headed monster of dev communications is nigh worthless, as shown time and time again. A good concerted whine from a group of chicken littles wipes out our shot at developing better variance in products so that people are actually rewarded for playing true crafters. After they nerf it a LARGE majority of the chicken littles even admit they liked the one day "test". But the devs provide ZERO feedback. Customers service is poorer than an army supply chain. Just so frustrating that nothing is ever done to the fundamental problems, only the symptoms.
