My current setup is:

14 large on Ore

10 large on metal (copper/steel/alum/iron)

2 large on Chemical/Reactive Gas

6 Fusion Gen.

How does everyone else distribute your harvesters?

I usually either just buy my chemical/reactive gas or trade a house deed for it from a local Mall.

Either that or find a good spot and run a couple mediums for a day or 2.

Otherwise, I have mine currently configured as 5 copper, 2 solar, 1 fusion, 6 ore, 1 factory, 1 house, 2 steel

It really all depends on what resources I need.

I got a 91% copper spot so I am really pulling a lot out right now to last me awhile, then I will probably switch to alum the next resource cycle.

Wow 32 lots

I have 3 heavies, 9 medium, 1 small gas, 1 small chem, 3 solar 1 fusion. I don't redeed stuff much so I typically take what is highest available. Always have at least half of my stuff on ore.

Oh ya, and Two Fusion Gens on a 87% Radioactive

The two run them all, don't know why anyone needs more.

Six heavies on ore, three heavies on steel, one heavy on copper, one heavy on aluminum, one medium on gas (I switch from reactive to inert for a couple days back and forth), one medium (or sometimes heavy) on chemical. I have a medium house, a vendor shop (small house near town), two fusion gens on a 2 for 1 vein, and a structure factory.

I'm a sucker for fat veins, though. I won't throw down on anything under 70% for ore/steel, and 80% for the rest. When something shifts out - say ore, I'll wait until the new one shifts in, and go find it, instead of gambling on another vein that I hadn't been paying attention to and might shift out tomorrow. I'm able to gather enough resources to ride me through the waiting game for new shift-ins. Plus gives me a break to run and do a few missions.

I also feed all my harvesters when placing them down, to last a week. That's about as long as the resources hang around - and saves me from running around each day. I rarely need to visit them midweek, as my resources from the prior week can carry me through.

This scenario lets me put out, on average, a large house and a coupla heavies each day. More than makes up for my costs (which are about ~35k cr and ~30k energy daily). I just try to keep in mind that I need to sell the equivelent of a medium house or factory or medium harv (non-mineral) each day to "keep ahead".

When a resource stack runs below 200 units of whatever, I throw that into my "furniture" travel pack which I grind into furniture and sell that in my other vendor.

I used to run (using two accounts) the following:

  • 8Carbonate Ore(I never bother with low-grade, so I don't have to have two types of ore

  • 2Steel

  • 4Aluminum (swapped with Copper)

  • 1 Chemical (Either fiberplast or petrochemical)

  • 1 Reactive Gas

  • 2 Fusion Gen

  • 2 lots for Medium House

I use either copper or aluminum as the Non-Ferrous metal we require, depending on what I have the most of at the time. I swap out my fusion gen's when I want to place a factory. With the redeeding ability this is wayyyyyy cheaper than keeping it placed all the time.

Of course this is all moot now. I used to make deeds and sell them but it's such a hassle to run around trying to sell them. Now I just plop 10 harvesters down on a resource, usually steel or carb ore, and sell them on the bazaar.

I've sold 50k each of Carb Ore and Steel for 3 credits per unit the past couple of days. Which is about 3 times what people are willing to pay for deeds. <roll eyes>

Hmm currently

2 Heavy Ore

20 Medium Ore

1 Medium Reactive Gas

2 Fusions

I buy all the metal and extra power i need.. really cba to do more than that. with my resources coming in at around .6 per unit or something and buying at 2-3 still averages out to about 1.5 or so considering ore is the bulk of what i use to make stuff. One day i will upgrade ot heavies.. the day i dont have orders for 4-10 of the silly things and actually feel like doing more crafting haha
