I read in another thread of a wish for architects to be able to customize housing, and it made me think it ower a bit.

As I see it, it would be nice to add in schematics for building blocks, that way a player can buy a number of different blocks and put them together as he wishes. In adition when a player thinks his or her house has become to small, you could simply buy a new block and add to your house.

These blocks would be of different shapes and sizes, and without doors. In each block there would be a control pannel, so you can choose to make some rooms in your house privat, while others are publick. Also each block costs maint. But this would be added to the core block so u only need to make payment in one place.

The architect would also have schematics fore doors and stairs and other things like that to combine the different blocks. There would be one core block that would detirmin the type of house like a endor core or a tatooine core, and all blocks that are attached to the core would tahe on the form of the core determined look. The core would in it self be something like a small house to see and function, with an entrance and all that, and then u could simply add to the small house to make it bigger.

I don't know about the other architects but I don't want to be selling parts of houses. It's already hard enough selling "whole" houses at a reasonable price, parts would be considered so low that I'm quite sure that their price per ressource units spent would be even less since they would be considered nothing by themselves. But we do need more floorplans.

I can see what you mean, but I think it would be a lot easier to sell, of cause the resource needs of a section would never be the same as an total house, so when you would buy the core block it might be of somewhat equal resource and price as a small hous is now, bot an add-onn would be a lot cheaper, and therefore also smaler, and less resourcess, and that i think would encourage people to buy a large and nice custom made house ower time.

I know that I personaly have had an small house, and when that wasnt enough I went on the market to buy a bigger one, but there were no benefits to buying a larg house then, its price was way to high for what u actualy get, and most the space is of no use, It was cheaper and gave me more storage space to buy another small house.

Therfore i think it would be smart just to add a few rooms to the small one, and gradualy make the palace I realy wanted.

As an example, u buy a PA hall for use as an house, maint is wery high, cost of structure is high, and layout is not that good... I have wery seldom seen anyone use the low and upper levels of a structure, so in my opinion, those are spaces of no value that make you have to cramp your stuff on a relativly small space.

This would be of no concern with blocks, as you would be able to decide the layout of your house as you see fit, and when you run out of space, just add another room

I love it! It would be easy for a new player to buy the initial block and then build on to it as they need the space. Sadly, I don't think this would ever get implemented. They can't even get us decent looking plants or working experimentation on fusions so I doubt highly that an over haul in housing would ever occur.
