Well, I worked on it last night. The Quality of the steel comes out to 976.75 pre buff.

Concerning an OMU, using this steel for the 3 steel slots, and crunching some numbers, would need a Metal/Iron (filling the non-steel 150 resource slot) with a Quality of at least 988.25 to get a final overall quality above 980.

I did try to use the steel with an Iron having 982 overall Quality, but only got a 99% experimentation and a BER 6 (overall quality was 978.xx). I did have an "Amazing" during the experimentation. This steel on its own just can't cut it.

But on the flip side, it will easily make BER 13s. I just hope Tarq gets another spawn of slightly better Architect type duralloy soon.

Unfortunately steels with the 980+ level stats only seem to spawn every few months. Seems most servers have only had 4-6 of them thus far over 2 years.

Yes, Oceaf... so.. so very close! I tried mixing and matching this steel with other stuff I have and am having a tough time getting a BER 7 OMU.

I'm hoping we will get an 'uber' spawn in the next couple of months! I only have enough good stuff to make 40-60 BER 14 harvesters and then it's back to BER 13's with big hoppers.

Last awesome spawn was over 250 days ago. It's about due to pop soon.

If you can find Quaditoack (sp). That rocks. Its 1000 SR. I had an eight point Architect on Tarqu for a bit, and he was hitting BER 14 fusions, and BER 13 Harvies with the stuff.

Keep at it, you'll find some eventually.

Checking the bazaar regularly is also helpful.
