Thread: Solution to Low Baller House Sellers
I agree with the slaughter of flagrant undercutters butI think only overt factioned players can be slain.
Please correct me if I am wrong. I hope I am!
Devs said early on that there would be no player vs player bounties. They said that bounty terminals make mission against npc's and taht if you fail in a task for a high level npc (such as jabba) you may get a bounty put on your head but they thought there would be too much room for abuse if player vs player bounties were in the game. Sorry. No pegging the generous guys.
This would be cool, and I hope that the devs change their mind later, or maybe there should be a tax on selling homes at such a low rate, or even better, you lose XP for not selling it at a decent price, you could still make homes for FREE and not lose xp, but if you sell them for less than a certain amount then you get hit with a loss. Just wishful thinking I know.
So what you're saying is that because I can afford to sell houses for 10K, I should be killed. And because you're too incompetent to manage your resources effectively, and thus can't sell a house for 10K, that you're somehow justified in saying I should be dead?
I'd recommned you join a PA to get some assistance with the Architecture path, but with an attitude like that, I doubt you'll make friends easily.

When did they say this. When the game was originally annouced there were going to be, but it got set aside with Cities, and vehicles was last I heard about them.
It isnt even a question of weather or not you can affoard to. Why would you WANT to? Sure you can keep selling things cheaper. Buy again why? We as architects have devoted time in gaining the ability to make houses. Why would you not capitalize on that? Doctors and Layers charge high amounts for their time.
Why? Because of what a pain in the butt getting to where they are was. We have a skill that we had to
work for. I vote that we charge.

lol, when did I complain? When did I say I couldn't manage resources? When did I ask for help? I simply provided a solution that should be a valid part of the game. You don't like somebody or their hurting business, put a hit on them. Do people IRL know they have a hit on them? Or even know why? Most likely not. Should totally be a part of the game.
The devs have always said that they will not allow players to place bounties on other players. This is a form of non-consentual PvP, and the devs have always said that PvP will always be consentual in SWG. The devs did say that there will be higher level missions that have a bond. You have to pay the bond to take the mission, and if you succeed you get your bond back and the mission reward, but if you fail the bond goes to paying a bounty hunter to kill you. Player bounty hunters could get the mission to kill you and make the money. This is consentual because you choose to accept a bonded mission.
>You see a person selling for low, put a hit on him.
This is actually why they won't implement player set bounties. If you did, the bounty system would either let bounty hunters bypass the overt/covert rules - which would mean it was wide opento non-consensual PvP, or it would have to let targets hide behind the covert flag, making PC Bounties far less practical or fun.

I sell small houses for 8k right now. I am sure some reading this already hate me, but this is the price that works for me, and I see no reason aside from greed to ask for more. It costs me about 4k to make a house, and doubling that amount seems fair to me. I do not advertise - I simply place houses on a vendor in my house, and sell about 1 a day.
I do fine at this rate. *shrug*

I agree, I wish I had a PA managing resources for me, wouldn't THAT be nice! =)
