Maybe I am burned out, maybe I just need to vent I am not sure. I am so friggin bored with SWG it is pathetic. I am a Novice Architect with TONS of business and a Novice Tailor with mediocre sales, I should be totally estatic with the way things are going....but alas that isn't the case.

I have 15 harvesters between myself and my huband, and I can't seem to ever get enough resources. I may get enough for about 20 mins of crafting...then what? run delivery missions the rest of the time or sit in "tell hell"? I have orders I am unable to fulfill due to lack of resources. Spending and hour or more running from harvester to harvester to scrap that little bit of resources has totally turned me off to crafting a single item.

I also am Novice Scout/Marksman, but I don't have the points to put into them to further those professions any further.

I was a hardcore EQ player for 3 years, never loosing the love of the game until I finally decided to join my husband on SWG and disbanded my characters from the best guild I had ever been in to come have fun...but where is the fun now? gone....

I don't want to join a hardcore guild to help me get resources to powerlevel to master just to build a PA hall etc so what do I do to get the fun back? Any advice is appreciated....not looking for flames please...just help.

1) Buy resources in the bazaar.

2) Wait for vehicles

3) Take a break

4) Don't play as much every day.

Those are the first 4 I came up off the top of my head, just some friendly suggestions.

It sounds as though you haven't tried enough professions to really deside what you want to do in SWG. Personally I trained all the basic trades with the idea that what ever I spent the most time doing is what the character would end up being in the end. It doesn't hurt to try them all you can get rid of what you don't use when you need the skill points to go farter in the thing you like the best.

Kill missions are a lot more fun then deliveries - and you can get small groups together to go do it. I often group with people that want a house but dont think they can afford it and runn some kill missions with them to help them raise the funds. Its a great way to get to know my customers and build future sales.

I also picked up entertainer and sometimes head over to the cantina and join the local band for a jam session. This too I enjoy.

I tried fishing for the first time just the other day - I'm still undecided about this one as I only had 2 bait and lost them both pretty quick.

Traveling - Sometimes I just go adventuring to see what its like on other planets.

I agree that our profession of archtecture doesn't offer a lot of crafting time. But most of my day is spent doing customer service anyways.

I hope you find some things you like to do.

Sounds like you have discovered the big white elephant that stands in plain sight but that no one likes to talk about.

SWG is a masterfully crafted game that after about 2 months of playtime offers little or nothing to do.

Well.. you either need to find a resource supplier to supplement your harvesters, or you might want to think about a change of profession to one of the other crafting skills, they are far less resource intensive.

I run 26 harvesters at the moment.. 18 mediums, 4 heavy's, 4 solar, and I still buy about another 15-20k ore a day on top of that (while having an output of 45-50k ore a day from harvesters and minerbot).

Either that or put up an afk message that states you are not taking orders till you have a surplus of resouces. Also change your title from architect something to like novice scout.. that cuts down on the tells quite a bit.

He has friends place them for him I would assume. Same as I do, just not as many.

First on the amount of orders thing, do you actually tell people how long their order will take or are they waiting for days for it. Usually when I tell someone ti will take a week to finish their order they go elsewhere. Which is completely fine with me. I don't want to have to find a new spot for materials right when they switchs. I prefer to have no more than 3-4 days of orders.

I would agree with the others as well, that you should try some other professions. If your bored with that one why do you continue to play it? Noone is forcing you to take more orders and make you collect more resources. Finish up your current orders and find someting else to do. I would guess your not too far into the tree and have plenty of points available.

I don't mind the tells. Once I tell them my prices of 3.5c/resource they tend to just go away Odd that I still have orders all the time though. I'm just not bogged down with all of them.

He said it in his post, Minerbot. If you own 3 accounts you have 30 lots.

Numan.....I am charging 5cr per resource and I still get bogged!!! I tell every customer how long their orders may take and so far have only lost business for 2 medium houses and hey that was fine with me....they came back to me for furniture! Currently I have Buildings I & II, Installations I & II and Furniture I. I am also Novice Scout/Marksman and Novice Tailor so it isn't that I haven't tried other professions.

Well then I guess I would still go back to the fact that you say you are bored as hell. Just tell them you are not accepting new orders at this time. Obviously this might be semi permanent as some people might not come back if you do.

I would love to be able to get 5c/resouce. I'm lucky to get 4c/resource but now I just tend to sell enough to keep a small profit and gain some exp. If I ever need some credits I just sell some resources to some weaponsmiths. 5-6/resource is a lot more reasonable than 4c.

If you really are that bored with it, pick a different profession. Gathering resources from havestors will always be part of the architect since they need such a huge amount for anything. You just aren't going to be able to get away from that.

Star_Child -

Well it sounds like to me is that you really don't like the game. It sounds like you enjoyed playing EQ. Sounds like you're forcing yourself to play SWG.

If you don't like the game and still enjoy EQ, go back to it. Why force yourself to play? I'm sure your husband will understand.....

I sorta hit a block myself.. What does an architect do, really? Nothing, and that's the problem. They wait fo rresources to gather up, build a bunch of stuff, and then repeat. Lots of downtime "twiddle my fingers" types of stuff. It's awful tempting just to delete, start fresh, and take up life as a Chef or something. Work quietly and constantly..

I love crafting, and it really seems like out of all the crafting classes, Architect does it the least? Would you guys say that's a fair asseessment?

On topic though,
Do what I'm doing(for now). Take up another class as a major deal. I take 5 orders at any given time, work on 'em when I can, and the rest of the time I goof of. I PK(Rebel woot), wander around, socialize/manage my business.
