Thread: I've gotta ask : large harvesters.
Ive seen a deep crust chemical extractor and it was pretty cool, about4 or5 times the size of the small chem extractors. I dont think I have seen any other kinds of large harvs.......Regarding large harvestors, I have an architect friend who is curious how many lots they take up and how do they compare with mediums. (Maintenance costs, power useage, extraction rate, etc). If anyone has any information please let us know!
Thanks

All havestors take up 1 lot. All of them(at least the ones I've tried) don't take any more room on the ground than a Medium Mineral.
Maintenance cost for a Heavy is 3 times a personal. So about 2250 or so a day I think. Havest rate is 7 instead of 2 and 4.
Havest rate on a Fusion plant is 13, Solar is 8, Wind is 5. I haven't build a Fusion plant yet, but solar and wind are the same price to run(1500ish a day) so Fusion might be the same.
Fusion has a maint rate of 30. Which makes them the same as solar and medium harvesters.
But, that is still great compared to the resources they bring in. I am in the process of switching my solar harvesters over to fusion.
That doesnt make ay sense. Fusion rate is what?
Wind is 5kg/hr
Solar is 8 kg/hr
Fusion is 13Kg/Hr (if memory serves). I placed two of them. I wont be having any power shortages, at least unitl the radioactives move. =)
Maint on them is 30. Certainly the most efficient of the power generators. The cost of large harvesters seems a little high for both power and maint. I think the gas extractor I placed was 45cr and power was 75. (again numbers are from memory and could be off).
I love the large harvesters, I just hate the cost to move them every week.
Thanks
