Thread: Crit Fails explained
A fellow crafter made me aware of this and I was able to duplicate it on a consistent basis. (every time)
If you craft an item and you do not put all the resources into the slots and hit next, you will recieve the message about not all slots are filled. You fill the correct slot and hit next.. crit fail!!! Every time. Also, I get crit fails when I fill a slot with a resource that I don't have enough of to fill the slot.. Example put 100 steel in a 150 steel required slot, empty slot, and refill it with correct amount of resources. You are supposed to have critical failures, but not on the frequency that some of you are having. I follow this religiously and I almost NEVER get a critical on final assembly anymore. I hope this helps some of you.
i accidently do this ALL the time and never crit fail after it.
but then again, i make sure im using resources with the properties that are checked before assembling.
pretty gutless.
I can also confirm that this theory isn't correct. I have frequently not had enough of the resource or hit next without all the slots filled and was still able to complete the item after fixing it.
I have noticed something different when I do fail though. The schematic still shows all the items in their slots. I don't remember this happening before. I have to hit back and then go back into the schematic to clear it.
