I was wondering, since Architects use so much ore, what would be a good price to sell massive amounts of ore for? Just wondering it there is a market for it. Thanks.

Well since lots of us can barely get 3cr/unit on the finished product we make with our ore, not much. We do need loads though, but i think it would break most if we had to pay 3cr/unit on ore just due to the factthat we go through so much. Im just starting out in the business, and already realize that i have to mine my own ore, i would be broke sooo quick if i bought it, even with the constant survey missions i run whilst crafting.

Hi,
It's pretty simple really. I mine as much ore as I can but won't pay more then 3-1 for ore I buy. Now I will pay more for other minerals like aluminum, steel and copper if I get in a pinch and need some... but I hold fast at 3-1 on ore. Anything above that would cause our prices to be so high we get flamed for our prices... although at this point I have set my prices and if someone does not like them then tough. I believe most architects pricing is pretty good for the customer. We really should charge more.. but ... oh well.
My thoughts,

How do you define a "fair" price?
My guess is that if you can get an offer of 2.5c here on this board within hours of posting you most likely could sell it for 4-5c. Like oil thecost of ore is relative, if it goes up substantially so does the price of the finished product.

it sucks for architects trying to make money because lack of demand/overpopulation etc, so an architect cannot make money by buying ore at more than like 3-3.5, but a tip for you: price it at 3, and then if it sells very quickly (within an hour or so) then raise the price. keep raising until it doesn't sell for a whole day or however long you're willing to wait.
too many people are concerned with what's "fair" when really they're making up some scrub definition of fair. fair is automatic, with what people are willing to pay.

I just didn't want to try to sell it for 10c per unit and not sell any if its only worth 3. And I also wouldnt want to sell it for 3c per unit if its worth 10. I was just looking for a ballpark figure. I think I have that now. Thanks.
