What are your opinions on resellers... The people who see when you dump a good deal on the bazaar and take advantage of it. I am all for them making money, but it is creating an artificial inflation on materials that we use toproduce. For example, say I dump 1k of Reactive Gas on the market for 2000 credits. Very good dealfor recent days prices. BobPriceJacker sees that I have dumped that 1k on the market for2000 credits.Bob then buys that material, splits it up into 2 lots of500 units each. Sells them for 2500-3k each. Isn't that artificial inflation?Again, I am all for making money, but maybe we should stop dumping minerals at the bazaar if they are going to continue that.If Jim the Architect needs such and such material... and wants to complete a project... and needs the materials.. he goes to the bazaar, and where he would normally pay 2 credits per resource.. he now has to pay between 3-5. Makes a big difference if you need it in bulk.

What are your opinions?

Not much you can do to stop it unfortunately. If you're trying to help out a fellow architect or any crafter for that matter, you would be better off doing a quick search and sending out a few tells or emails to get a buyer that way. If the price is as good as you say, won't take long for someone to buy it up.

Yes, I notice that when im a few hundred short of a specific material for completing an order and go to the bazaar, the only things that are less than 3cr/per are the auctions listed in the past few hours. Nothing much you can do about it, its a free market. But I did have one very nice seller, who after he saw me buying his iron up made personal contact with me. Now I just go straight to him when I need a bit extra here and there.

Also I wonder if half the bazaar sellers even know what they are selling. I can understand hotai ore (the uber 940++ in all properties but one ) going for 6-8cr per unit, but it seems that others what the same price for their ore that is utter crap in quality... Same with some of the nice metals that come on the market, the crap metals seem to rise to their prices when they are spawning and being sold heavily.

O'kay, my main profession is going to be Merchant. I am also a BE but realized that in NO way do the two professions go well together, hence the reason I'm on the architect board (going for architect). I actually don't plan on making a whole lot of money with architect, but I've already done Tailor (beta) and the other artisan professions are just not appealing enough. Chef is neat..but I'm tired of broken professions.

Anyhoo...from a Merchant's point of view:

If I can sell my resources at my price with NO dififculty (sells within 1-2 days), I'd be CRAZY not to buy resources I see at a lower price and mark that price up to my own. This is what a Merchant does. Sure, I could go direct to the original seller, but there are just too many people playing miners and it's easier to just go through the bazaar and buy what i see there.

Now actual finishes products: I say are fair game as well (and many people disagree with this)..but I don't do this with items where quality matters a lot unless I can view the stats.

This sounds too much like religion. Just stay - suffer - you'll get your reward...eventually...I don't know what it is will be but it will be great...and all the non-believers will suffer an eternity of screaming and gnashing of teeth. (InsomniaRado )

It's capitalism and market forces. Unless the prices and amount of product are fixed, there is always an oportunity for endless middle creatures (read middlemen). I applaud the business acumen of the reseller. Personally, the trend seems bad in this game business wise. What was hot to sell last week is now dirt cheap, like houses. And nothing seems to sell well. Almost every person I talk to, regardless of profession, makes most money off missions. In a sense, this is welfare. Although some missions have risk, I can deliver for 3-4 hours and make $30-$40,000 or whatever. I'm not sure where the economy is going, but it seems to cause alot of profession changing.

it's neither inflation, nor artificial. it means you did not sell it for its true value. either price higher or get over it.
