Thread: 50% of Survey Missions Are Broken (1800 credit versions)
Someone on development needs to go into the survey missions and figure out what elements are not hooked up properly to register as a hit for a successful survey.
Last night about 50% of the elements I was asked to find did not register as a success even though I was well over the required quality and range from the mission giver.
For instance, I was on Corellia and was asked to find a deposit of Ferrous Metal around a 58 efficiency. I went due south to about 600m out of town and found a patch of Ime, which is listed on my mineral survey tool under Ferrous Metal for 60% and got no hit. Then I went up to 900 m and found a 83% and still no hit. Then I switched to Iranium (or something like that) also classified in the same tree as a Ferrous Metal, went back up north to around 700 m out of town and registered a hit.
Soooo, someone somewhere didn’t map the proper attributes to the elements in the database to the elements in the survey missions.
Either that or I was getting a false read which has also happened. I can find a patch of 90% of an element then go to take a sample and the text display tells me the concentration of the elements is too weak to take a sample… when I’m sitting on 90%?
There is a problem with the survey device used that it miss represents teh % of the resource but its not the missions at fault but the survey device. Some times you can realize this by surveying for some thing then trying to sample for it but it says that the consintration is too low...
Been a problem for some time. Just reboot and that helps to clear it out. Just logging out and back in does nothing.
I have never ( and I do A LOT of survey mission ) seen a broken mission.
So it's the refresh rate on the survey tool?
Thanks! Hopefully the refresh issues will be addressed soon.
