If you are a Master Artisan then grind vehicles.

If you are not a master Artisan than you can grind personal harvesters for about 500 XP each. I think its 33k general artisan XP to get Nov. Architect so thats about 66 harvesters. If you want to resell them then try and use good materials to get BER 4. Might take both Engr 4 and Dom Arts 4 to get BER 4 though.

If you are not a master Artisan then you might consider becoming one if you're close because it may be a lot easier and quicker than grinding all the personal harvesters.

I've seen this advice before and I think it needs to be analysed a bit. It may depend on your goals and your bankroll, but let's see.

Assume that you have Novice Artisan. Your first step on any of the paths should be to grind mineral survey devices till you hit Engineering 3. Then you grind Personal Mineral Harvesters till Engineering 4.

At that point you have a fork in the road. You can grind Personal Mineral Harvesters to go straight to Novice Architect. Or you can grind Personal Mineral Harvesters to hit Domestic Arts 4 and Business 4, plus grind surveying till Survey 4, plus have 620 app points, and *then* grind X34s to Novice Architect.

BTW - I'm not at all proposing that Master Artisan is a step to be entirely skipped, but I'm suggesting that Path #1 defer it. Also, it depends on if you are just grinding to Master Architect, only to immediately drop it, verses going for Master Architect to establish a business.

Path #1 (get to Engineering 4 and then straight to Novice Architect) requires: 25,150 total resources, crafting 174 total objects, for a grand total of 43,500 general crafting experience.

Path #2 (get to Master Artisan and then to Novice Architect) requires: 96,000 total resources, crafting 164 total objects, for a grand total of 64,500 general crafting experience. It also requires Survey 4 and 620 apprendice points.

Part of the reason for this difference is that on Path #1 you end up with less products available to you than on Path #2. Another part of it lies in the fact that vehicles - unlike *almost every other* item in the game, give 1,800 xp for 4,250 resources. Just about every other object is about 2X the xp as the amount of resources burned.

So crafting vehicles for XP is actually a HORRIBLE thing to do. Going Path #2 requires over 3X the total resources, and you only save crafting 10 items.

One advantage of Path #2 is that you end up with 18 X34s that you can sell to finance the grind. My point is that by racing to Novice Architect on Path #1 you can then work on grinding Architect and Master Artisan in parallel.
