It will put Architects out of business because of existing stock. As you all know harvesters last forever unless you let them rot to nothing.

If MAs are the only people who can place heavy harvies, what happens to theheavys already in existence? All those who can no longer use them will sell them. The market will be flooded with useless heavy and medium harvies. If you take the total number of MAs on the server and multiplly that by 10 you will undoubtedly end up with a number that is MUCH MUCH smaller than the current number of existing heavy/medium harvesters.

If the cert thing happens, Architects will most likely NEVER sell a heavy havrester again, and sales on Mediums will stagnate as well.

i had suggested there be two series of lots given to players.... one for houses, the other for harvesters

normal players can have just a few, while master artisans can have several more

oranother idea was to have people who are not "certified" to use a harvester have to invest more lots (3 for heavies, 2 for mediums) or something like that

there's good arguments on both sides and it'd be easier for me if things just stayed the same since i'm a bio-engineer
i also think the skill point investment for doctors/medics, smugglers, bio-engineers and rangers/scouts should be taken into consideration also, perhaps adding certs for these somewhere along the way or something /shrug

i actual all for this idea of having only MA's using the harvesters. I realy don't care about the markets any more they just don't work for us. With this at least we could use this to our advantage and get an edge in the market on resorces.

I'm a master armorsith and I'm totally against.

But for you Architects, I saw how much resources you all you use just to make guild halls, heavy harvestors, etc......... It will be impossible for you to get resources for these if you don't have Master Artisan. Forget buying from resource vendors too..........what will you have to charge for guild halls if you had to pay 10cpu for resources?

of corse you see that that way becayse you are an armorsmith. You have a renowable sorce of income. Yes prices will rise. That is good to. Right now people are rich as a whole why? they don't exactly have anything they have to buy alot. Yet they stack money like crazy. I know people who just give money away its so easy to get. Maby with this the prices of items they do have to buy will go up. Maby with this the econamy might just start to work.

Using your logic, master architects would basically be miners and would be the only ones mining and selling resources. We may not sell another harvestor in our life, but would make billions on the resources that only we could get.

How about, if you don't have the skill to make the harvester, there is acost to re-deed it?

You can call it an an architectural inspection fee .. wewant tomake sure that harvester is safe to use!

you need to get the main point,

harvetser demand IS already limited and a cert system is not doing much at all, just makes the demand reduction faster.

the main issue i see is that lousy basic profession masters aka artisan claim they want heavies certs. big LOL

they can have medium certs maybe and personals for everybody, but heavies should definately go to adv. craft profession. period

an artisan is not a miner or the uber crafter its a step stone for adv. crafting lol nothing more.

would be same silly to give a master marksman certs for all existing weapons.
