And why would the Architect forum be able to answer your question, or even bring it to the Dev's attention?

Geez, first they give wookiees armor and now they want aprons too? You guys'll never be satisfied... 
I'd recommend posting this in the Core Systems forum. I think thats the best place for this kind of stuff since it spans an entry race and lots of professions. Serious. Oh, and .. Please.

One of the devs, TH I think, made a comment that making the apron work for Wookies requires new art assets, and that the art team's plate is full. So, I wouldn't hold my breath 
Now, if I was a dev, I'd let wookies equip the item and just have it be invisible, adding art for it when the resources become available. Let's face it, this isn't the same sort of issue as the Imperial hat. Wookies want to wear the apron for the bonus, not the fashion statement.

Yeah, it is stupid, I would have thought they could just use the art from anything else that wookies can wear, I assume they can wear coats? (maybe not, never tried to dress my wookie vendors with these) as the apron replaces the coat when worn they could just leave the coat art in place. Stupid not to let them wear an apron just because the guy doing art is on sick leave...
