What? And have customers complain how we overcharge? I would pay 5 credits per unit maximum for any resource.

Need to make clear here that I'm not trying to sell the ore...I thought this was a decent venue for this type of question, since I was just asking about pricing, and what architectswould be willing to pay for it, as it seems very rare.

As for the guy who said he woulnd't pay more than 5 cpu for resources, that is a joke. I am a weaponsmith and you will have no chance at success if you're not willing to pay at least 30 cpu on many types of resources, that is unless you're going to wait for months hoping thatthese specific resourceswill spawn, with the ubers stats need to compete in the field. I try to draw the line at 30 cpu, but many smiths are willing to pay 150, 250, even more for certain uber resources.

Many architects don't make furntiture as a business. At least 95% of the architects reading here aren't on your server, so their take on prices will be based on server economies that are not the same as your's.

To help put this into perspective, this ore is used in one piece of furniture - the white (Master) coffee table. That table requires 100 units of aluminum and 75 units of this ore.

Although architects can get a "nice" markup on furniture (typically 6-10 X their cost), particularly compared to houses and harvesters, it remains the case that furniture is considered by many players as a "nicity" rather than a "necessity" like weapons or armor.

If my cost for aluminum is 2 cpu, and my cost for this ore is 30 cpu, my *cost* for that table would be 2450. Selling it for 3300 (which I do) gives me a profit of 850, or a "markup" of 35% over my cost. I daresay that any weaponsmith would scoff at that kind of markup.

Looking atarchitects who *do* make furntiture and who have been around awhile, they have a stockpile of this from the last spawn. So the ones without are the ones who have made Master Architect since the last spawn and who are interested in making furniture are your target market for these. Before I had this stuff I would say to customers "sorry, I don't have the stuff for that" and they would just choose something else.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the market for this ore is *very* narrow and the people who would buy it don't have a huge economic incentive to buy it, so you should not expect to make a killing with this. It's not like you have the only source for a resource for making T21s and every WS on a server will give a pound of flesh to have it.

We could certainly make a profit still buying it at 30cpu. But as for its uberness, I dont think theres anyone out there saying "I just know I could win at PvP if only I had that Master coffee table!", which is why we wont pay what weaponsmiths will.

Aye Zen, well said...thanks for your comments. I suppose you're right, not too many well done furniture shops around, too bad more people didn't do things for the love of it...I suppose with the lost cost of furniture it is hard to make a living out of it, but hobbies are nice too! Good business guys!

So if you are on Bria, contact Edra ingame and we can talk about price, cause I dont spend my time searching the boards.... I like to play the game...hehe

Then there is the fact that at least on my server, I can't make an end table to save my life as Ionite Intrusive ore hasn't spawned since the last good Star Wars movie...

I'm so getting in trouble for this post

Just a quick side note on Pholokite Ore:

Consider it dead on Bria. The last spawn was on Talus and there where atleast 5 spots into the mid 60's on the density. Add to this the fact that the shift went for 10 days, there's a nice stockpile of it in my warehouse...
