Try looking at your server's bazaar pricing.

What value has the trees, the wind, and the sky?
The trees are valuable to the leaves, the wind is valuable to the clouds, and the sky is valuable to the stars.
All things have value, having found their proper place.
You must seek the form contained within your uncarved block, and create your own market.

To sell your goods, you must go where there are customers.

(Harvesters sell well, as does furniture, and find a high traffic area.)

Meditate on this.

That really depends on the server community you play with.

I make a steady income from tremendous furniture sales. This alone pays my expenses to run and grow my arch business. Add to that the profits from sales of installtions such as BER 10 and BER 13 mineral harvs, ber 13 deep crust chem harvs, medium naboo houses, ber 14 fusions, and the occasional ber 13 flora farm I make good money with little real effort. I dont make money hand over fist, but I havent had less than 5 million in my account in nearly 9 months.

Other good items to sell...

Weapon Power ups (assuming you are a master artisan)

Vehicles (yup..I still sell a lot of them)

Vehicle Customization Kits (sell a lot of them too)

Lamps/Candles (These fly off my vendor)

They all bring in small credit sales, but I sell hundreds and hundreds of them each week.

Welcome to the new Architect.

You either spam for sales or have a vendor. You probably want a vendor in a high traffic area to maximize you sales. You probably wont do as good within a small player city.

As for what to craft or sell - as long as you have it in your vendor - you have the possibility to make a sale. You may want to search a few other vendors to get a general price of things.

For pricing I'd recommend checking your server forum and looking around at other architect vendors. SPend a couple hours browsing shops near Coronet and or Theed to get an idea of the range of prices.

Standard disclaimer: The economy varies a lot from server to server.

As far as what are good items to sell, that partially depends on what kind of business you want to run. There are some distinct specialists within Architect. Some of us only do furniture, or some of us only do harvesters.

If you want to sell furniture in a vendor then the best way is to stock a vendor with a few of each item and then just see what sells more and then figure out your inventory management. You'd want to make more of the higher demand items and keep more of them in stock. Furniture will sell but a well stocked vendor is very important I think.

If you're selling houses then you'll want some of each if you can manage it. Or if you don't have all the materials to stock them all then your orders will tell you demand. Or you can just stock the housing style for the planet you're on. e.g. if you're on Tat then just stock some Tat houses.

From what I've seen / heard, City structures don't sell fast if at all. So I wouldn't recommend keeping them in stock. Or if you want to keep a completely stocked vendor then do maybe only 1 set at max and don't expect them to move fast.

I don't know how much market there is for city decorations like statues and gardens. I've not stocked them.

For harvesters the BER10 and BER13's will sell. Anything lower like BER8-9 mediums or BER10-12 heavies will sell a LOT slower and will probabably have to have a heavily discounted price to move.

In my experience the most popular harvesters have been: mineral, flora, chemical, fusion, gas and water in that order. Of course YMMV some, but in general I think people have found flora and mineral to be the better sellers. And there isn't too much demand for water.

Crafting stations with rating of 40 or higher should sell pretty well at a good profit. Anything lower than 40 and the prices will drop a ways.

NOte, this is all just my personal experience and observation. YMMV.

Actually, I've got flora, wind, and solar harvesters all over the place.
I try to get 2-5cpu for them.

I'm not rich, but actually working my way to master Arch with a new toon. It's mice to see a crafting prof that's useful before hitting master. Most of my sales have been through the bazaar, but I'm starting to get a little traffic to the player-city mall I'm part of. Furniture and decorations move well on the bazaar, and small houses are also a nice source of cash getting xp.

Personally I wouldn't recommend spending much to get extra experimentation points.

The main thing that 2 extra points will do is get you slightly larger hopper sizes. We can usually max out BER with 2 points left to spare if using good materials.

While there is some benefit to larger hoppers its not normally something people consider. I have yet to have a customer even ask about hopper sizes.

I'd go for more assembly points first. My belief is that assembly points improve our experimentation success a lot.

Either way an arcthiect apron is the best thing to start with for points cause it will give you +5 structure experiment and +5 structure assembly. They might be relatively cheap on some servers too. And are usually cheaper than any tapes. Other than that the only way I know to get tapes is to find them yourself or watch for auctions in the trade forums or post a WTB ad.
