Thread: Skill upgrades for Architects

Hey all...I'm new to the world of Architect as well as crafting in general. Up until now I have been mostly combat but am looking for other things to do in the game. My question for you guys is, what kind of skill upgrades are there for architects? Is there bio-engineered clothing, skill tapes or anything else out there that helps us out? Or is there just general crafting upgrades that apply to all crafting professions. Any help you guys can give would be great. Thanks in advance.

There are skill tapes for structure experimentation, structure assembly and structure complexity. As far as we can tell the structure complexity is useless.
There is an architect apron that gives +5 structure experimentation and +5 structure assembly.
Structure experimentation mostly just gives you the ability to make slightly larger hoppers and really won't help in gettting higher BER harvesters.
My personal opinion is that structure assembly points are the most valuable. They help increase the quality of your experimental results so you get more great and amazing successes.

First off thanks for the info...now if I could just ask one more question of yah...where do I find this apron? Is it a schematic that I need to find and have a tailor craft or is it a looted item? Thanks again for your help on this...and thanks for the quick response.

The crafting aprons are a loot schematic that tailors can make. I think it takes a master tailor. I think you get the schematic as random loot from the Jabba missions. They also require 2 pieces of heavy duty leather which are random loot drop from NPCs.
Probably the easiest place to find them ready made is auctions in your server's trade forum. Or you coudl post a WTB ad there.

your right that you get the crafting apron schem from the jaboo theme park but its not a random loot, its a reward for doing one of the missions, it needs 2 identical heavy leathers (ask around for prices people ask for about 20-40k but i got 6 bits for 10k and there also cheap on the bazaa if your lucky) and they need the crafting tool you want it to turn out to be forand only a master tailor can craft them, i.e give the master tailors a structure crafting tool and it will turn out a architect crafting apron.

Does everyone always get the crafting apron schematic? I was under the imperssion that the items you get from Jabba missions vary from person to person some.

This is not entirely true. As part of the Jabba reward (I do believe it is a guaranteed reward, other items like the Exquisite Dancer Leotard, Demolishionist (sp?) Belt, etc. are random), the crafter's apron schematic only has the description, crafter's apron.Only whena Master Tailor learns it, do you find out what kind of apron it will make (Architech, Chef, Doc, or Tailor). At that time it will tell you which crafting tool is needed, the 2 identical heavy duty leathers, hide, and some other stuff I can't remember off the top of my head.

Thanks again for all of your help guys. And I will confirm the fact that the apron you get is totally random. I had one from when I did the jabba theme park and didn't even realize it...but when I gave it to a master tailor it came out a medical apron. Oh well..I'm sure I can find someone looking to trade.
You guys are great, and I look forward to becoming a member of such a great group of helpful people.

You get a random schem each time:arch, tailor, chef, artistan, and I think weapon. I do know there are 5 out there. Could just be for droids.
