Thread: macro help, making structor mods

hello,
im in need of some help with a marco
using the /createPrototype; line is working for the first item but on the second one its getting stuck on the downloading schematic part. can anyone help me out?
Im trying to make walls to get the first experimentation tree before i start making harvesters and im not gonna practice away all that ore and metal.. but hitting the button all that time is getting to be a pain,. soo i thought a crafting macro to make say 50 mods then hand make the walls, and repeat would be a good way to go about it,. but im having toubles with getting stuck on that DL: screen
right now my macro is
/ui toolbarSlot12;
/sel 24;
/pause 4;
/next;
/next;
/createPrototype;
/createPrototype;
/pause 2;
(im repeating the above with ui changes)
the only thing i changed was /createPrototype practice no item; which has worked for chef and tailor when ive done them.

you might try changing createproto to next, so it would be 4 lines of /next.
dont know for sure but just a thought, i never tried to make items with a macro that werent practice no item.
you should be able to write into the macro a wall module after you have made 10 structure modules, would probably take 2 macros because of the character limit of (1024 i believe).
make one macro that makes maybe 6 structure mods, then call a second macro that makes the other 4 then a wall, should be very easy, just need a long enough pause to get all the structure mods clicked into the schem, maybe 10-15 seconds should do, unless you have a mouse button set to double click, then maybe 8-10 seconds pause.
keeps the inventory easier to manage and dont have to keep track of how many structure mods you have made, wish i had thought of this when i was a novice.

I figured it out, though it wont loop which is not a big deal,, i make 6 and then do it again, one click no biggy,.
For some reason i was getting stuck on the second one, i just erased the line that was /sel 24; then retyped it and now it works.. no idea why.
An yea to be honest with you i have no idea why an architect would grind it to master.. all there stuff can be made on the way up soo once you hit master you would have a giant vendor full of stuff to sell. well most, all but harvesters : ) Ive made equipment factories as i lvl up the instalation line. those things rock8factories give you an entire tier 3 box ! I have only one box left in the exp line, ive used all the walls ive made soo far. Once i make this last box im gonna make mineral harvesters to lvl up buildings 1, and then make food/chem, wearables factories for my vendor, and a couple structure factories for myself. im only gonna sell factories and medium harvesters. To me the heavies are just not cost effective and will leave me with the i need more ore syndrom which im deifantlly not gonna deal with. Im not gonna even try to compete with the 3 cpu arctiects when i can just mine good resources and sell um for 5+ and not bust my ass..
though who knows maybe ill lvl up the rest and become an interitor decorated that can be lots of fun and make good money too. But right now im just planing on 0-4-4-1 and make instalations,, the 1 point at master is not a big deal as i can make BER 10 and 13 with out it, just slighty smaller hoppers, but good iron, ore, steel can negate that one less point anyway : ) And who knows maby i can find a few exp tapes : )

i notice something else, you say /ui toolbar, and i have always seen /ui action toolbar, dont know if that makes a difference, i dont know a lot about macro scripts and shortcuts, i found a good macro and adopted it to whatever i needed to make.
i didnt grind architect with or without a macro, i kept everything i made, well, i did grind a few gungan heads but only about 20, the other 20 or so i sold.
i did some grinding in artisan to get some of those boxes done, and have done a bit for the doctor med crafting line, but not a whole lot. i didnt grind any when i was doing medic crafting, they were too easy to get, and i needed the meds anyway, medic was easy, doc takes a while. so i am grinding abecs some of the time, when im bored and theres no on in the med center. i didnt use tumblers either. im just not a grinder at all i guess, i pay to play so i want to experience it, redundancy and all.
