How fast is it? What do you craft?

For a few days I did Advanced Droid Frame Units (need DE 0002), but I got bored with it pretty fast. So the only thing I sometimes do is trade in my Merchant XP and while I'm there I trade in some Structure XP (which is almost nothing). I now have Experimentation 1 and Surveying 3, which only indicates how slow the Crafting FS actually goes. I'm not going to grind Architect stuff, cause with the 35:1 ratio you're being ripped off resource-wise. Maybe I'm gonna start the Frame Units way again, but as I don't even feel like travelling to the village anymore, I can't see it happen any time soon.

On-topic: I think doing Landspeedersor Statues isthe fastest way, but obviously this uses a lot of resources. Advanced Droid Frame Units is the best cost/time solution. And I think Wind Power Generators is the cheapest way.

And then to answer your question: When you have about 70 million units of resource, you cangetCrafting Mastery within a day.

Let's see:

240,000 structure exp / 35 = 6,857 FS exp

50,000 general crafting exp / 8 = 6250 FS exp

Go figure!

My FS exp is going up slowly. But I refuse to grind! I don't want Jedi, for the time being. I just wanta few boxes for bonuses.

I gave mine up and spent the last few skill points I had, the ones I was saving up and going to use for FS boxes, on novice merchant plus 3 boxes. /shrug.
The exchange rate, plus the heavy grinding required, plus the 5k trip to the village and the danger inherant therein, just doesnt make it worthwhile for me.

I don't know of too many pure crafters who even bother with it anymore. Most (if not all) of the FS crafting related skills are next to useless (aside from bragging rights), and those that are sort of worth something can be easily covered by other means (surveying has a cap so is only worthwhile if you wish to drop some surveying skills, and experimentation is useless owing to the way successes work). ASs & WSs have it pretty good and most can fill out a tree in a month of so of normal crafting work. If you are reliant on factories (as most if not all arhcitects are), then the village is a waste of time in my opinion.

But if you are into grinding in a big way and have access to lots of resources, it's basically what the village is there for.

I was trading in my merchant xp for a while but found that dropping everything to rush out to the village to offload my maxed out merchant xp every couple of days got old really quick (and the current phase meaning that the place is full of sith means I often can't get anywhere near the relevant npc to exchange xp, grab the mission, etc). I havent bothered with it in ages and have lost complete interest in that part of the game.

Another bit of content locked away from me owing to a lack of combat skills I guess.
