I live on Rori.

When I was a novice, I learned early on that generic housing is higher up the tree, and a lot of times costs more to make.

First, I dont understand why generic housing takes more learned skills to make. Rori is a starter planet. When I went to make my character the first day the game released, I was unable to start on Naboo, Tatooine or Corellia. Those major planets havemore lag because of a higher population, and more content available. Why would I want to move there now? I have established my business on Rori and everyone I know is there. I will get back to this..

Second, I don't understand how using more resources would make a smaller house? Why does it take more resources to build on a smaller planet? I mine the resources on Rori, I build the deed on Rori, but if I want to assemble the identical PA hall on Rori as Naboo, it takes more resources. A medium Generic house is 3 times smaller than a Tatooine house and only a tiny bit bigger than a Naboo style1 small house, yet takes more resources to make than a Tat medium.. Huh?..

Third, What is with the bland, boring white with screamingly bright light sources that shadow everything and whitewash the walls.. I know there is a bug that the Devs refuse to fix with the contrast, but please do something with the light sources.. I have a ton of black stuff in the house and glaring white walls.. What exactly is the deal with generic houses for style too? Because I choose to live on a planet with less people, a weaker market, less lag, and no big populations to play with, I am forced to live in a white box with a horrible layout? I go to Naboo and I see these cool houses with peaked roofs and red carpet and wallpaper and curtains, on Tat I get the sandstone houses with soft rounded edges and large spaces to roam.. Then I go home and find a little white box with 10% more space than a naboo small (generic medium style 2) and once again, it cost me more resources..

Fourth, Style 2 small generics.. Same exact size as a small generic style 1 floorplan2, but more expensive to make, by 20%, AND it is almost identical.. a door is moved.. Thats it.. a door is moved..

Bottom line: it appears the designers of the game are trying to tell us that living on a planet like talus or rori is a terrible thing, and living on Corellia, Tatooine, or Naboo is the thing to do. Go to Naboo and have large houses with walls, floor, and windows that look like.. a house. Build a PA on Naboo and save 5000 resources over the identical generic PA hall. Go to Tatooine and enjoy a medium house that is 3 times larger and costs 20% less to make than the generic medium house. Novice Architect? Sorry, you cant build a small generic until you are good enough to build a variety of specialized houses. Wanna build a Medium Generic? sorry, you have to be able to build large houses on Tat that are 10 times bigger first..

This needs to be looked at.. It is as if a whole different design team was put on each type of house, and the generic team was retarded and understaffed..I can see the lead design checking on the teams " tall peaks, spacious rooms, carpet, wallpaper for the naboo.. good ..good.. Extra spacious 5 room 3 level with a balcony for tatooine medium.. good.. good.. hmm.. what is this? Bob here made the generics.. hmm.. white walls, small, overly bright, more resources to make, higher up on the tree, no roof, no balconies, medium is almost the size of the naboo small, hmm.. make a note to put a different team on generic after we get the game to work.."

Something needs to be done, and I think it is at least as important as being able to sit on the large bed..

Well, while I agree with your points on how bland generic housing is compared to houses on the Prime Planets...I have this to say:

There's alot to be said for being able to pick up your house and move it to any world you want for any reason. An option not available to a Prime House Deed.

As an architect, I cannot pick up and go, because it takes 2 people to hold everything in my house while I move it, if my vendor is empty. Also, I can easily sell my deed and build a new one, which I would do in a second if I could get a house 3 times larger for less resource cost.

A customer with a generic deed is faced with smaller space, uglier housing, for a higher price (sometimes) and most players wont be packing their house from planet to planet.

I would gladly stay on rori if the house were 3 times larger and much more pleasing to the eye, and I would even vow not to move anywhere else ever if I could have a better medium house on my planet..

I can see these generic houses on somewhere like Endor or Dathomir, but if they can build cities on Rori that look like cities on Naboo, why cant I build a decent house?

The Corellia / Generic house issue was on the list for this week but it got bumped off. It should make it onto next weeks list.
