along with chef Im also going architect, I dunno if thats the greatest combination but its seems interesting to me.

Anyways, my questions are

1)what are the best items to build to get the most exp ?

2) Ive heard that this class is a particular ressource hog, any tips on the type/amount of ressources I would need ?

3) Is this class a real grind or is it simpler than most ?

Thank you

1)what are the best items to build to get the most exp ? Gungan Head statues, from construction I. But I did it via houses and factories, which i sold...
2) Ive heard that this class is a particular ressource hog, any tips on the type/amount of ressources I would need ?1. Ore. 2. ore. 3. ore. 4. some random metals. 5. lubricating oil for harvs. 6. ORE!!!
3) Is this class a real grind or is it simpler than most ?Others?? I found the grinds for combat more fun, and with a good group faster - and a LOT cheaper...
Thank you

Why, SOELA, why? Did the entire management join a cult, and at the same time perform home lobotomies?

Depending on your cash/resource situation, you could master in about 2 hours give or take

First time I mastered archy, I was poor, I couldn't afford to buy neavies (or run them!), and I was excited at the first BER 10 mineral mine. Took me several months to work up.

Second time was after a screwed respect that was supposed to be temproary but a crash before the final respec.... I ground houses (to sell) until Constructions 1, then gungan head statues (a small number of those for sale, the rest practice.

Took 3 days. 7 BER13 heavies digging up ore and gemstone on good locations, plus almost 3 million credits worth of resources from vendors. Not to mention boring as Hell...

I did it rather quickly...however i had quite a bit of creds cuz of my alt...i spent about 5-7 mil on resources and then went to a research center player city with a public crafting station and i put my crafting on practice and i did gungan head statues it took me about 2-3 hrs...that is on the high end...with the research center bonus and your crafting set to practice you gain i think...and extra 15% bonus to xp this waspre-cu so know i believe you can get an inspiration bonus from entertainers so that bumps up to 25%extra xp. Hope this helps...felt kinda dirty doing it but in the end i really don't care lol...By the way this is nothing compared to grinding up Shipwright it cost me about twice this much...hope this helps.

dang thats gonna be costly as hell, I know I wanted to go chef cause I can get some help with gathering mats from a buddy whos BH. Then I wanted to complement that with almost any crafting class but trying to find one thats a quick grind. I only got a couple personals and a wind generator running lol..thats obviously not gonna be enough. With only about 10k creds I dunno whether I should keep going into architect.

Architect is a costly profession, and is not that profitable, unlsee you mine your own resources. I enjoy it myself, but Chef does not compliment it in any way. Depending on the server you would have an extremely hard time servicing your clients as both a chef and an architect and maintaining stock.

ORE. You will never get enough of it really. You need 200k of ore to make 1000 structure modules. You need 1000 structure modules + another 30kish of ore to make 100 walls.A large house is 10 walls. A guild hall is like 17. A medium houseis 5 walls. This is where the resources hogging comes in.

I buy as much ore at 2cpus as I can find, because I loathe mining. At that ...... I charge like 125-150k for a large house which is my best seller by far along with BER 13 Mineral Miners at the same price. I sell factories for like 75k usually. All of these items have been selling fast and often lately, I can't keep up with the walls!

Anyway. Crafting Stations sell OK, Furntiure sells extremely slow, lighting sells ok. Harvestors sell over time, as do Guild Halls and Merchant tents. It helps if you have a few million credits to get you started. I don't do this as a primary source of income, it is more of a hobby when I'm not PvPing.

As far as grinding goes read the above posts as far as speed goes. Personally I'd go up the furniture tree first and make a vendor ful of uniquely named furniture, I suggest dirty named items, people get a kick outta that.

My template is: MArchitect MArtisan MMerchant Tailor 0200 DE 0004 NovWS and NovAs. That is a fully self sufficient architect template, no need to farm out any work. Hope this helps.

I wanna do chef no matter what but honestly looking at all the other proffessions nothing really goes with chef, I guess you could tie itinto tailoring into it but I dont wanna dress people up I honestly dont care what my 2nd master prof is, just as long as I can get it fast. Ill be mainly focusing on chef and anything else will just be extra money If you guys think architect would be the wrong way to go please speak up cause I dont wanna be screwed later.

Here is a guide to architect that I wrote a while ago. Its a little dated but most of it still applies. Its intended for architects starting out.

OK there are 2 primary ways to grind architect:

The expensive and very fast way is to make gungan heads on practice mode. You can do this with roughly 550-600k ore and 250-300k gems. If you have a good macro then you can grind it in 1-2 hours. I'd only go this way if you have money to burn.

OR if you're starting from scratch the more practical way is to actually make stuff you can sell. As a novice you can make structure modules and then make those into walls. You can then grind walls till you get a skill box or two and then start making factories and medium houses and furniture to sell as you work your way up the skill tree. As you make stuff and sell it you will generate more money to buy more material to make more stuff. It will feed it self. Or you might be able to find an established master architect that would be willing to pay you for walls. Many of us have bought walls from novices. Nobody is going to pay you a premium for walls but you might get enough to pay for your grind. One trick is to grind strucutre modules individually and then use a structure factory to turn them into crates of walls and then sell the crates to masters. Crates are a lot easier to handle than single walls.

You said also that you have personal miners and 10k. Make sure you're using BER4 personal miners to start with. You can make some money by selling things on the public bazaar to start. If nobody else is selling crafting stations on the bazaar then you might try putting up a food/chem station or a weapon/droid/general station for 5k and see how fast it sells. Usually that market isn't covered by anyone and there is demand for basic crafting stations for new crafters.

Probably one of your first goals should be to upgrade your harvesters to BER10 mediums. That will multiply your mining output by 2.5 .
