I just bought a food/chem factory yesterday to make stims. Does anyone know of a good tutorial that i can find on how to use the factory before i set it down? I have never used one (obviously) nor do i know anyone that does. Thanks for any help

I have never seen a how to on factories, but here are the basics:

Place the factory just like you would any other structure

Deposit Maintenance and power into it

Go to your private crafting station and target it, then use a specialized crafting tool to make the item that you would like to run in the factory, only after your experiment on the item choose the “Create schematic” option, this will create a schematic of that EXACT item in your data pad.

Go to your factory and choose the use the Access Schematic slot option, and load the schematic of your choice into the factory (there will be a list)

Now that your schematic is loaded, go to the List ingredients needed for station option, this will tell you what you will need to make the item, and how many you can make with that schematic. Please note that if your item requires crafted components then they must all have the same serial number as the one used to make the schematic with (They must be made in a factory)

Now place all of the minerals and items needed to make your product into the input hopper, they will have to be the same ones that you used to make the schematic with.

Select the “Start manufacturing objects”

You will get an e-mail when it is done, and trust me it is horrendously slow for being a factory.
