Thread: My Critical Fails Last Night

I had to post this because I'm still in shock. Last night, while trying to fill orders, I managed to critical fail 2 large mineral harvestors, a large naboo house and a medium naboo house. The two large harvestor fails were back to back. I managed to complete a large naboo house, then fail one. Then, I created 1 medium naboo house and failed the next. I'm a master architect using pretty good tools. Not the best tools, but pretty good anyway.

Anyway, I had to post that. I just sat in my chair in disbelief looking at the critical failure message for the 4th timelast night. It had to be one of my lowest gaming points...haha...In all, that's over 125,000 resources...WOW...

And people say I'm ripping them off by charging 3 credits/unit on some architecture deeds....sheesh...

The reason they can charge that low is because they are using a macro so they never get a crit failure, trust me and use it. Do you know how to use it or how to make macros?

I do know how to setup a macor, but not how to avoid the crit fails. Could you add a little more info on that?...I'm reading through this board to see what I can find on it. I normally just read through the Shadowfire posts, but after last nights fails, I had to pay a visit here...

It's also in the weekly bug reports. The Macro is:

/nextcraftingstage; /nextcraftingstage; /nextcraftingstage; /createprototype

Use it and all the bad stuff about failures goes away. Just close the station and watch the timer.

Back yet again, for another round of SWG... um... fun. Yeah, that's it. (It's not just a diversion while I wait in the queues for WoW BG's)

Also try experimenting on each piece of your construction, and after two critcal fails on smaller items, LOG your butt. QUIT, logout, stop, do not go any farther.

Go get yourself a bowl of icecream, call your mom say Hi, read an article in a magazine then go back, log back on your architect and try again.

Just advice from someone who has gone from 50% criticals on final assemblies, to about 5%.

phew ...and i thought it was me...normally i grind structural modules until i get a fail then i make a couple of walls...normally works pretty well...last nght i had 4 wall failures...what makes it worse that it wasnt my resources..i was grinding them for xp...i hate to think of the cosequences for a pa hall failure, any large harvie failure.etc

Last night I had an unusually high number of crit fails. If you ask me, the gods of SOE are playing with their numbers and variable to make it worse on us. Maybe its an effort to make us charge more for our goods? Who knows. But it stinks to crit fail ona heavy miner when the guy is standing there waiting for it.

Yep same here, last night was unusual for me as well. Sold my personal fod and chemical crafting station( why not, i will just build another for myself) the otherday. Well last night i failed on countless control unit's 2 micro sensory suite's and 2 of the the final combines, im going to use my weapons crafting macro as suggested from now on. Thanks for the heads up.

DWhisper, not sure if you just forgot it or it's not needed but the one i use has one more /createprototype; line in it.

/nextCraftingStage;

/nextCraftingStage;

/nextCraftingStage;

/createPrototype;

/createPrototype;

Now, assign this to a hotkey and when you fill in all the resources on the schematic, instead of hitting Assemble, press the key with this macro. You'll be glad you did.

Loosing that much resources with ore as hard to get as it is is just utter and total BS. I can't believe the Dev team wanted us to loose that kind of resources and that much frustration.

Isn't the second createprototype needed when you're close to the crafting station or vice versa?

This is wonderful news! I never knew about this! I will start using it right away. I crit failed 5 out of 15 walls a week ago Friday and about had a heart attack.
